I was at home, playing on my Xbox. I had a pretty stable life. Being a clear sighted mortal, I had found a Drachma exchange and had enough mortal cash. I also had a job now. On the table, was the latest copy of 'News in USA' , pretty terrible name, I know, but it was popular and a copy of 'The Demigod Lives', which was a newspaper for demigods on quests.I had a 10 month subscription for both. I learned Greek and also practiced my combat skills in a martial art classes down the street.I feel like with my intensity level, I could beat a demigod in sword fighting in a no-powers fight. I picked up the Demigod newspaper and read a headline written in bold
'Percy Jackson Deemed Innocent'
Upon the meeting in Olympus, the gods themselves stated that Perseus Jackson, former son of Poseidon and currently mortal, was innocent. Athena stated that while checking the facts, there was no evidence to prove that Jackson is guilty. Upon spying on a potential future enemy, Nyx herself, Nyx stated on how the gods threw away their hero without a second thought, when he was actually innocent. This leaves all his friends shattered with guilt washing over them, for they also deemed their hero guilty at the time. The search for him is going on, with his former girlfriend, Annabeth Chase leading it.
No chance, was all I thought. They were not going to catch me. I might even forgive them, with them being sorry and realizing their mistake, but i definitely did not want to be with them. They were untrustworthy,and people you should not get attached to. But as I said, I might forgive them. But the gods, their greed, hunger for power was startling and I am staying away from them. So, being the responsible and careful person I am, I returned to gaming.
