Hello Readers,
I was kind of shocked by the sudden response this story was getting and I would never have noticed if it wasn't for all the mails I have received from Wattpad. Well, honestly, I'd completely forgotten about this story but then I remembered that I had written more and it was stored on my laptop, so for all you readers who wanted an upload well here it is... enjoy. ~ violetink.
~[] CHAPTER FOUR [] ~
“… A fresh cup of hot chocolate and good music, I’ve found, can always cure the blues for me…”
- Theo Lyon, Global Rhythm [2011]
Two hours later after a lot of mayhem, screaming and Melody’s tearful farewell to Brian, my ‘fiancé’ and me sat before his brother and mother guzzling down tasteless tea as though our lives depended on it.
Enid Clementine, Brian’s mother, was a petite woman who was still beautiful for her age with the same fascinating shade of blonde hair as Nicholas and the twinkling blue eyes of Brian.
At the moment, there was no twinkle in those baby blues; instead she studied me wearily as though she didn’t know what to make of me. Nicholas on the other hand had barely glanced at me. Brian nodded his head and looked back at his teacup. I had a feeling Brian didn’t have much practice lying to his brother. If he continued this head bobbing, like he’d been doing for the last ten minutes, we weren’t going to get very far.
“And you knew you were in love?” Nicholas asked as though we’d just told him we both believed in tooth fairies.
Again Brian did the annoying head bob.
“And you got engaged to Miss Grace as soon as you… came to this startling discovery?” Nicholas asked in an innocent voice that did not sound innocent at all.
Brian is about to begin bobbing his head again when I mentally sigh. Even though I’m spitting mad and want to strangle the punk, it’s time I took over. “We didn’t see the point in waiting then” I lied with a charming smile, then proceeded to take Brian’s hand in mine and look at him as though he was my world.
“Right Brian?” I asked in the intimate whisper of a lover’s.
