When Billie finally hears that the drive-in theatre was open, she was excited. They started to build it but then covid happened which only made the process slower. But now, it's finished after two years and Billie knows everybody was going to be there.
She checked the movies that they were going to play and it was movies from the 90's. Poetic Justice, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Boyz N The Hood, Set It Off, and Menace II Society. They did themes sometimes for movies so the theme this week was 'Iconic Black Movies' and it started from the 90's and go up from there.
"Which one do you want to see?" Billie asks her best friend, Amina.
"Which one is the last playing? I wanna go late at night." Answers the younger girl who's finishing up her homework.
"Menace II Society starts at ten-thirty. Is that fine?" And Amina nods at that.
The two wait for nine to hit so they can get ready. Amina wore a light grey skirt that's a few inches above her ankle with a black cropped tank top and yeezy slides. She looked at herself in the mirror. Yes, she is petite but her body is nice. And she likes being small, comes in handy with many things. She fixes her hair and straightens it while Billie gets dressed up. She wears grey nike shorts, a big white shirt, and Air Force 1's.
When they leave, they make a quick stop at the corner store and they grab some snacks because they know snacks at the drive-in are gonna be expensive.
When they get there, Billie pays for the both of them and she begins finding a place for them to park. She finds a parking spot and it's right in the middle so they have a perfect view of the screen. The movie was going to start soon, so the two decided to smoke a blunt before it begins. Watching Menace II Society high is something they always wanted to do together.
