~Still in Flashback

We stopped by a flower shop to get some eye-catching and freshly picked red roses since it was her parent's favourite flower before heading to the graveyard.

Arriving at the entrance, Ellie began to look more and more scared as she had a tight grip on my arm.

"Are you sure you still want to go? We can still go back-"

"No, I... I said that I wanted to go so I will,"

We processed to go in the graveyard, passing many graves where many young or old souls would have being held until Ellie stopped in her tracks, meaning we were here.

The grave in front of us said 'Grace and Dave Wonder lay here' in cursive writing.

We both stayed quiet for a few minutes before Ellie knelt down to set the roses in front of the gravestone in silence.

She tried to speak, but she was choked with tears, she had a lump in her throat and was blinking away the held back tears.

"I'm sorry I couldn't visit all these years but I'm fine and doing good," She started, brushing away a large amount of dust from on top of the stone, meaning that no one has visited it for a long time or no one has ever visited it at all.

"I brought someone with me, someone close to my heart but I know I shouldn't get attached so easily," She muttered to herself, "He's just different, I feel like I can trust with my life,"

"I'm sorry if I disappointed you," She finally said.

Ellie then stood up from the ground and turned around to face me. Tears were welled up in her eyes but when a single teardrop rolled down her cheek, I couldn't take it anymore.

I quickly brought her into a tight hug, which she didn't refuse at all but welcomed it, gripping onto my jacket with no intention of letting go.

"Do you want to go now?"

There was a small nod indicated that it was time to leave the cemetery, looking back one more time and unfortunately not seeing the two sad souls hovering above the gravestone.

"You didn't disappoint us sweetie, we're very proud of you and we expect a lot of grandchildren," The woman yelled happily, wiping a tear while being hugged by her husband....

"Thank you for coming with me," Ellie said shyly, brushing the tears away with her hand.

We were sitting on the bench by a large lake with elegant swans and hungry pigeons, hoping the scenery would cheer her up.

"It's okay,"

"You know I didn't know why I wanted to be an undercover agent, maybe because I wanted to follow in their footsteps,"

"But the pain I had gone through, I wouldn't be surprised if the car accident was intentional to relief them from their suffering-"

"Ellie,"

She turned to the side to look at me, her eyes became puffy since she had been crying for a while.

"What if they were targeted by someone because they did something wrong, what if that will happen to me?"

"No, it won't, I won't let it happen to you," I answered quickly, gently cupping her cheeks, "I'll be your Sweet Saviour from now on,"

"You? Being my Sweet Saviour?" Ellie giggled, loving my idea already, "What gave you that idea?"

"I don't know, maybe I'll sweeten you up with my saving skills," I suggested teasingly.

Ellie laughed even more, her pretty smile coming back to life and her face was enlightened by the joke.

"You got that from Jin didn't you,"

"Yeah, he's been telling me all these jokes to impress you with," I confessed honestly, regretting my life choices already.

"Impress me? Well, it didn't impress me but I feel much better,"

"Really?" I asked surprisingly, thinking Jin Hyung had actually did something good with his jokes and made someone else laugh other than himself.

"Yes, thank you My Sweet Saviour," Ellie assured, reaching over to kiss me on the cheek....

If only those lips would have landed somewhere else but it's nothing but a thought.
