i had stayed with ashtray and completely forgot to text maddy so she was worried and called me 21 times.

maddy i'm sorry a bunch happened last night i'll tell you later, i'm on my way home
to late i'm outside

i say before looking outside and seeing maddys car.

i say goodbye to ash and fez and walk to maddys car and get in. "yo you look high as hell" she says, "and your hair is messed up- wait did you and ash?" she says again. "ew mads no!! gosh i just woke up and the reason i look high will all make sense later promise." i say she nods her head and drives off.

i explained the whole situation to maddy, or at least what i could remember.  " omg my little sister are you okay?" she says pulling me into a hug then pulling bag and looks at my face for any bruises or something. "maddy i'm fine thanks" i say. all i worried about was rue. where was she? is she home now? did she get in trouble? and most importantly is she ok?

i decided to call her but she never answers so i just walked to her house. i knocked on the door and gia answered. i just walked past her, rolled my eyes and went into rues room.

i walk in her room and she looked tired as fuck, i'm sure i did too but who knows. "hey rue are you feeling good?" i ask her while she's laying down she hears my voice and turns her head to the door. "i feel like shit. i keep throwing up why did i have to take that stupid ass" she says before grabbing her trash can and throwing up
in it. i run towards her and grab her hair so it doesn't get in the trash. after she was done she put the trash can back and laid down again so i went to go get paper towels to clean her face.

i walked back into her room and start wiping it off her face and the clothes she had before i just took her shirt off and put a sweatshirt on her. she was doing worse than me because she had actually swallowed it so i felt bad i should've done something. anything to prevent this. "i'll be right back ok rue? just stay here" i say and she nods her head in response.

i walked back to my house and went into maddys room. "maddy take me to the store hurry" i said before she grabs her keys and we walk to her car. "ok why are we in such a rush?" she asks me "rue she's throwing up everywhere and can barely keep her eyes open." i say to her and she replies with "why weren't you doing the same thing if you both took it?" she asks and i look at her "i didn't swallow it as soon as the man left i washed my mouth out. rue didn't." i say in a guilty way. i thought rue would do the same thing since it's common sense. but she probably wanted to see
how it felt like or some shit so that's why. still though, i shouldve done something. anything.

we get to the store and i rush inside to get any type of medicine rue might need. as i'm checking out i begin to feel my eyes tear up and the cashier looks at me "um are you ok?" a male voice says behind the counter. "yeah yeah i'm sorry just a little emotional rn" i reply and he says "oh i'm sorry i hope you feel better." then hands me my bag and i walk out "thank you" i say before i open the door. i rush to maddys car and she drives me to our neighborhood while i'm sobbing that my best friend is suffering and it's all my fault. now maybe that wasnt true but it felt like it. like the world was gonna end because i knew she wasn't okay. i'm so fucking stupid why wouldnt i do anything.

we get to the neighborhood and i run inside rues house and go into her room to walk in on her vomiting. "rue i got everything you'll need" i say before handing her the bag of liquid medicine. "can you uh get me water?" rue says and i rush to the kitchen getting her ice water. i measure the medicine out and she takes it then drinks water to get the nasty grape flavor away. she lays down "i love you mara. im glad that i went through it with you. thanks for taking care of me and always being there for me." rue says with her eyes closed. "youre welcome rue rue i love you so much ill always be here for you no matter what" i say to her getting teary eyed again. im glad to have rue in my life, her and maddy are like the best things that have ever happened to me.

i had stayed the night at rues house to take care of her and the next morning when we woke up she was full of energy "cmon get up right now!" she says dragging me off her bed. "ok ok im up gosh" say before yawning and rubbing my eyes. "you feeling better im guessing?" i ask her and she nods her head "we're going out. go home and get ready then come back" she says. i was happy she was feeling better so i didnt ask any questions. "alright byeee ill come back in a minute" i say walking out of her room then out the front door.

i get home and see my dad in the living room "hola papi" i say to him then give him a hug. "hola mija, te vas a ir con rue otra vez?" *hi honey are you going to go with rue again* he asks me. "woww you dont want me here o que" i say to him and he laughs "of course i do mija, es que nunca estas aqui so i was asking" *its because youre never here* my dad says to me and i roll my eyes and laugh then go up stairs.

i get ready but not fully just concelar, mascara, brush my hair and teeth then wear ashtrays sweats with some crocs. i also had a croc charm ashtray bought me that says A on it then another charm that was a heart. cause im always wearing crocs and he gets jealous. i walk to rues house which wasnt far and knock on the door. rue opens the door and drags my arm after walking outside and runs making me run with her then suddenly she stops and looks at my shoes. "A?" she says then looks at me "did i miss something?" she says again and i laugh and look at her "it's complicated. we aren't dating yet but we flirt like we are" i say. and she nods her head.

i see where she took me and it was to fezs store "bro why didn't you tell me i could've changed my clothes" i say to her and she laughs "what gotta look good for your little boyfriend xo?" she says. "no bruh these are ashs i stole them from him he gonna get bad" i say and she laughs pulling me inside.

i see a boy waiting at the register and he looked kind of familiar. "yo you're the girl from cvs yesterday right?" he asks me and i smile "yeah i knew you looked familiar!" i say. rue looks at him then back at me and whispers in my ear "i'll give you 20 bucks if you make ash jealous" i laugh at that and nod my head. me and the boy were talking for a minute before he says "so like can i get your number". i notice ash behind him looking mad but at the same time cute. "bro what the fuck is wrong with you. she's mine." ashtray says to the boy and i was very confused. "mara this is my bestfriend ashton" ash says again, i laugh "ashton and ashtray?" i say still laughing as they look at me with straight faces. rue starts laughing at me laughing then i realized she hasn't even talked yet. "yeah and this is my bestfriend rue. i'm rueton by the way nice to meet you again" i say and me and rue bust out laughing. "again?" ashtray asks looking jealous "oh yeah yesterday she came into my work and bought medicine" as soon as ashtray heard the last part he walked over to me "you're ok right? why didn't you call me? how are you feeling? do you wanna take a nap? are you hungry? are you tir-" he was gonna finish and add more before rue cut him off with "bro the medicine was for me" rue says "oh then i don't give a fuck" ashtray says and i start to laugh.

then ashton follows with "you're such a fucking simp and does she have your sweats on? and A on the crocs? oh nah what the fuck dude." ashtray heard him and looked me up and down "ma did you steal my clothes?!" ashtray says "nooo we probably got them from the same store" i say. "i don't think so" he says before going behind me and looks in the hood of the hoodie. "yeah definetly not" he says before i made a confused look then he took a picture of the hood with flash and showed me the picture. in the inside was written "xiomara jaqueline andrea pérez <3" which is my full name. i feel myself start to tear up because i hadn't noticed that before but i fastly wiped the tears away. "um when did you uh do that?" i turn looking at ashtray. i was falling in love with this man. he's el amor de mi vida. nobody can change my mind. it would be me and him against the world. "i did it like 2 weeks ago at the mall." he says and i pull him into a tight hug. "ok ok we get it you guys are fucking made for each other hurray hurray congrats now can i please get some fucking weed" rue says looking annoyed at us. i laugh and ashtray goes inside the freezer and rue follows him.

"so are you and ash a thing like dating orrrr?" i heard ashton say. to be honest i didn't even know how to answer that, "uh i mean technically not, why?" i try my best to answer him. "so wsg wit you" ashton says. wasn't this is bestfriend? and didnt ashtray just tell him i'm his? "wym wsg wit me? wsg wit you?" i say to him not knowing what to say. "tryna give me your snap?" ashton says, was this his way of flirting? cause it's ass i think he needs lessons to flirt cause tf is he saying. i notice ashtray behind him looking pissed but i tried to act like i didn't see him once again. "i'm very much taken even if we aren't dating we're very much taken by eachother. you're his best fucking friend trying to hit on me? nah you're a fucking snake that's what you are. get the fuck outta my face." i say to him hitting his shoulder and going with ash and giving him a kiss which was only our second one. ashton scoffed and left.
