part 1: stargazing

Y/N POV:

I opened up my locker, grabbed my bag and put my books in. I shut it and took out my phone, Mona messaged me. 'Could you come over today? I wanna do something' I lean on my locker, 'yeah ofc, btw where were you today? Are you sick?' I then put it in my pocket and made my way past all the other students, I opened the doors and left the school. My phone dinged, I took it out. 'No I just didn't wanna go' I laughed slightly, 'Ah ok lol' I started walked towards mona's house. Me and her have been friends for 3 years now, she's one of my closest friends and I love her...not like that of course- I arrive at her house and knock on the door, she opens it wearing a baggy black t-shirt, shorts and checkered vans. "Hi Y/N, come in." She opens the door fully, I step in and follow her to the kitchen. "Is everything okay mona?" She leans on the counter. "Yes everything's fine, Im just...Im just bored." I raise a eyebrow, "bored?" "Yes and that's why I wanted you over." "For what?" She walked over to me and grabbed my hand. "Y/N..can we go stargazing tonight? N-not like a date so don't get the wrong idea..! The sky's suppose to be clear tonight and I was thinking we could go look at the stars together and have a picnic."

"That would be amazing Mona, Sure!" She looked alittle surprised, "..really? You don't think it's a dumb idea?" "No why would I ever think that?" She rubbed her arm, "I just thought you would've wanted to go see a movie instead of stargazing.." "actually I was thinking we could go see the new spiderman movie-" she punched me in the arm, I snickered. "Oh shut up!" "So what should we pack for the picnic?" "Well I barely have anything to make food with here so we should go to the store." "Okay, I'll pay since you're still saving up for that book." She hugged me, "thank you Y/N! I swear I'll pay you back after I get the book!" "You should probably get dressed," "Oh shoot, you're right! I'll be right back!" She released her grip and ran out of the kitchen and up the stairs, I sat down waiting for her. Afew minutes later she came down wearing a black collared shirt, high rise shorts and of course her checkered vans. I stood up, "you ready?" She nodded, we left the house and made our way to the market. "So I was thinking we could get sandwich makings and Then we leave around 5, I know of a open flower field, we should go there."

"Sounds good to me." She smiles, im not into astrology or anything but I'm excited, I mean spending time with you're friend in a field of flowers at night sounds fun. We arrived at the market, "okay, I'm gonna go get the ingredients for the sandwiches. Can you go pick out some other things that would be good snacks for tonight?" "Yeah, we meet back here in 10 okay?" "Mhm!" We both went our separate ways, I walked into the international isle and went down to the pocky. I picked the cookies and cream one since it's mona's favorite and got the almond crunch for me, I grabbed two bottles of green tea. I walked back to the front and waited for Mona, afew minutes later she came back with bread, raspberry jam, blueberry jam and peanut butter. "I got blueberry and raspberry jam, is that fine with you?" "Yeah it's fine!" I paid for the stuff and we went back to monas house, we went into her kitchen and took out a picnic basket. I put in the green tea's and pocky, Mona was taking out the bread, I grabbed out a cutting board and walked over to her. "Okay, let's make the sandwiches." Me and her make the sandwiches, her's had blueberry jam and peanut butter, mine had just peanut butter. We wrapped them in plastic wrap and put them in the picnic basket, "Oh I need to get something real quick!" She ran up the stairs, she came down with a book about constellations. I snickered, "really?" "Yes really! I wanna see what constellations are out tonight." She put the book in the picnic basket, we exited the house and walked behind it. There was a pathway through the forest, the sun was setting already.

She grabbed my hand and lead me through the forest, "come on!" I smiled, I don't know why but I always felt happier with mona- we went on a old bridge covered in moss and vines, I looked around the forest..it looked like a fairytale. "We're here!" I turn my head towards mona, I let out a gasp, the field had so many different types of flowers. The sky was a misty blue, she lead me through the field up to a single tree on the hill. "H--how the hell did you find this place, it's magical-!" She giggled. "I guess I live in a fairytale." We both sat down under the tree, she took out all of the snacks. "You got me cookie's and cream pocky?" I nod, she smiles and hugs me. "Thank you Y/N, I love you!" I blush, she does as well and pulls away. "N-not like that..! A-as a friend..!" "I-i know, d-dont worry..!" I got a weird feeling in my stomach, like it was in knots. We layed back and waited it to turn nighttime, we just chatted and at our snacks. Mona grabbed out her book and opened it to a marked page, she looked at the sky and gasped. I sat up, "what?" She points up at the sky.

"Right there is Ursa major!" I look at where her finger was pointing, "Oh yeah, it is! Thats cool!" She giggled, I look at her, move closer to her and wipe some of the melted chocolate from the pocky off her lips. She blushes and looks at me, "oh- sorry you had some chocolate from the pocky-" She looks down. "I-its alright." I take a sip of my green tea, "h-hey Y/N," I turn my head to her and raised a eyebrow. She was still looking at the ground, fiddling with her fingers. "D-do you think we'll always stay like this..? I mean like friends." I put down my green tea. "Of course we will, I don't see any reason why we would stop being friends. Why do you ask?" "N-no reason, i was just curious." We both lay down, looking at the sky. "Look a shooting star!" I look up, it was already gone. "What did you wish for, mona?" She smirks and crosses her arms. "I can't tell you." "Aw come on! I really wanna know." She giggles and turns to me. "Okay, my wish was that we stay friends for as long as possible." I laugh, "that's sweet, Mona." She smiles and goes back to looking at the sky, "that's the Draco right there and then there's the Ursa minor."

"You have to teach me more about astrology, I only know about the big dipper and little dipper-" she scoffs, "amateur." I punch her in the arm. "Hey!" She giggles, the sound of the cricket's made me kinda sleepy, I yawned. Mona looked at me, "are you tired?" "Alittle bit, I'll be fine." She took out her phone. "Holy crap!" "What?" "We've been here for two hours!" I sat up. "Really? It only feels like its been twenty minutes- I guess time does fly by when you're with you're friends, huh?" She stood up, "you can stay the night at my house." "Okay." I get up and pick up the picnic basket, we make our way through the forest. "That was fun, we should do it again sometime!" She smiled, "Im glad you enjoyed it, Y/N." We entered her house, I sat on the couch. "I'll go get you a blanket and afew pillows," She goes upstairs, she comes back and puts the pillows and blanket on the couch. "Thank you, mona." "Mhm! No problem." She starts making her way up the stairs- "wait mona-" she comes back down, "is something wrong?" "Could..could you possibly sit with me for abit..?" She blushed, "Oh u-uhm, of course!" She sits down next to me and grabbed the remote. "Anything you wanna watch?" "Mmm, I'm fine with anything." She just puts on some music, i put my head on her shoulder. I could see she blushed more, I started feeling sleepy, I eventually fell asleep.
