Harry's POV
I waited outside marceline's house as she went in to put her books and change.
Her house was like all the others. Fairly painted with the few roof bricks scattered around. Her lawn was particularly pretty. Guess one of her parents were into gardening.
"Nice lawn you got there.", I said when she appeared out of the house in a pair of shorts with a baggy white shirt. She looked pretty I must say.
"Thanks. Mom's work though.", she said shading her eyes from the sun.
"So how are we supposed to get to the exciting place with a lot of trees?", she asked me.
"We could go to my place and take my mom's car or we could walk. You choose.", I said giving her a small smile.
"Walk I guess.", she said as she tied the laces on her sneakers.
We started walking towards the south side of town. Our town was small place. Everyone knew everyone and it was nice. The houses were small and cute and there was an individual compound for shopping and stuff.
"What you thinking?", my thoughts were interrupted by Marceline looking up at me with her eyes squinted.
"Nothing just about town and everything.", I said.
"Oh how long have you lived here?", she asked me.
"Uh almost 17 years." , I said. I was born here.
"Woah honestly like all your life?", she asked.
I nodded and by then we were almost out of town.
The sun was shining bright and the birds were singing as we passed over the highway to the small dirt road.

Marceline POV
"Oh come on get in here. The water's great.", harry shouted at me from the lake.
"No styles. I am not getting wet and the lake is honestly disgusting.", I shouted back.
"Orrr maybe you just don't know how to swim. That's it isn't it?", he said, with a sly grin on his face.
"Hardy har har. I do know how to swim but in a swimming pool. Not in scum bags.", I said.
Small tattoos were visible through his white shirt. Now that was so cool. I always wanted tattoos but my mother would probably throw me me out of the house.
He came out of the lake with the tips of his curls slightly wet. I was sitting at the end of the lake on the grass.
"You're looking absolutely disgusting. Jeez I see tadpoles on you.", I said to him while he squeezed the water out of his shirt.
"You do know that I am not blind right?", he said.
"Really? Wow what a lovely surprise?", I said shielding my eyes from the sun.
It was a really beautiful place. The lake was a small one with a bunch of bushes on the left side of it. There were trees infront and behind of us. It was like a small forest.
"My dad used to bring me here sometimes when he got time off work. We used to bike here most of the time. He said he didn't like to pollute this place with the car diesel. I kind of agree with him.", he said, sitting down next to me.
"Oh that's pretty cool. I barely spent time with my dad. It was always me and mom and dolls and shopping. He was more with Chris." I said looking up at him. A kind of worry had cast upon his eyes.
"Well I can honestly imagine you playing with dolls.", he said laughing out loud.
"I'm sure you can. And I can imagine you swinging from the trees and landing in disgusting water.", I said fighting back.
"Just like Tarzan?", he said.
"Exactly like Tarzan.", I said giving his wet shoulder a small bump.
Though we were sitting side by side, there was still a small distance between us. I felt his body inch closer to me as he bought his lips near my ear and whispered in a dark raspy voice.
"I'm really glad to have you here with me.", he said.
I could feel the blush rising from my feet to my cheeks. I gave him small nod as we decided to head back home.
