the constant ticking sent (name) into an inevitable state of panic, anxiety and dread.
tap tap tap
the tapping made (name) twist and turn in her layers of covers.

a piercing shriek echoed through the halls as kristy swung the door open.
"don't hurt me i have a knife!" the shaken female yelled as another set of footsteps hurried towards the room.
"kristy what did i tell you about knocking!" gabby scolded. "(name), it's fine. it's just kristy and i" gabby said, her hands stretched out in front of her. "he is not here, he cannot and will not hurt you." gabby cooed, fear undeniably evident.
"hey gabby," kristy reached out to stop gabby from advancing further. "n-not us..."
looking at the shaken female, her weapon was pointed slightly right of the door, towards the closet behind. in a flash, the two girls were knocked unconscious with a swing of the door. as the perpetrator clicked the door lock, a familiar scent diffused the air; that dreadful cologne, infused with a hint of freesia- he must have been hiding in her closet long enough.
as he stepped towards her, the smile on his face became clear; it was the smile that she first fell in love with, but gradually grew to fear. the once gentle smile was now a symbol of death, slowly approaching her without means of escape. (name) dropped her knife as her hands reached over to cup her ears, as the world faded into nothing but white noise; her vision fading to nothing but a blur.
and everything happened again, as if they were stuck in a time loop
