Survive

I was inside my home with my older brother while my parents were out still at work. My brother was in charge as always, l looked outside of the window watching the droplets of water coming from the rain because l had nothing else to do. I was slowly getting bored and sleepy. I was about to close my eyes and sleep but thats when l saw him.

Peter

He was the only friend l had when l moved into the area so l didn't get lonely here. He was in a blue rain coat and blue rain boots, running around in the rain. He stopped running and looked at me giving me a cheerful smile.
My eyes sparkled as l saw him..

I returned a smile back to him. Peter then raised his hand and swings it back and fourth towards him, singling me to come over. I nodded and jumped off my sit and ran to my older brother.
I tugged his shirt "Big bro! big bro, can l go outside to see Peter." I said hyped "Ok,you can just don't forget to wear your jacket and your rain coat plus the boots,it's raining out there and l don't want you getting sick." My said ruffling my hair "Yay! Thank you big bro!" I exclaimed happily running down stairs and putting on my jacket, my rain boots then my rain coat last.
I opened the front door and closed it behind me. I ran towards Peter and tackled him to the ground hugging him.

We both laughed at each other, Peter got off the ground fixing his glasses then offered me a hand helping me off the ground.

We both ran after one another.
We danced with each other in the rain until we forgot that time ever existed.

We stood with each other during the dance. Peter took my hand and spun me around. Pulling me closer to him as we danced the last day of Highschool.

We laughed until our sides hurt.

We promised to always be there and protect each other.

"But that was years ago...."

"That was when we were so pure and young..."

"But now we live in a world where we kill the ones we love in order to survive." I said as l pointed the gun at my lovers forehead.

"Do it...." Peter said

"What?" I said as my eyes widen in shock

"Pull the trigger" Peter as he lyied on the ground with a weak smile on his face

I romoved the gun from his forehead and backed up from Peter.

"The fuck you mean?" I said looking at him still shocked

"You said it yourself." Peter said closing his eyes

"One shoot to the head and it's all over." He continued opening his eyes looking at me.

My eyes widen down as looked at Peter angryly.

"Go on!" Peter said narrowing his eyebrows.

I couldn't do it....

I threw the gun away and walked to him, kneeling infront of him.

Tears in my eyes formed.

Peter looked at me shocked. I pulled him into a hug and started crying.

"I-l can't let you die..." i said sobbing

"Don't cry darling." Peter said hugging me back

My eyes widen as l felt something sharp in my back
"P-peter?" I said weakly as l saw blood

Peter pulled away from the hug. I looked down at his hand to see him holding a knife with blood on it....
my blood.

"I'll see you soon darling~" Peter said giving me a kiss on the lips before leaving me to die

"P-peter..." was all l said before everything went black.
