I was on my way to my company DA technologent when my phone started ringing, I smirked as I looked at the name 'same old man' I laughed to myself as I answered the phone and placed it against my ears 'hey dad! How are you and mom doing?' I haven't spoken to my parents in awhile and it felt good hearing his voice again. 'Hey son, we're doing great! How are you doing? Are you managing the company well?' He will never understand that our company will stay number 1 in the USA for as long as I think, will he? 'Dad, you should know our company is doing as fine as it always has been! What's the reason for you calling?' He barely calls and today, out of the blue, he called 'Oh son, do you not want to hear from us?' Crap! I didn't mean it that way! 'No dad, I didn't mean-' my dad interrupted me with his fatherly laugh 'Son I'm just joking.... Actaully the reason we called you is because there is something important we need to talk about. Are you free to come for dinner tonight?' Thinking about it, I haven't seen my parents in awhile and it will be really good to catch up with them. 'I don't see why not dad, I'll see you and mom at eight. ' I wonder what they need to talk about. 'Great son! We'll see you soon then!' 'Bye dad'.
I was excited to go home after nearly half a year, the company has kept me really busy. As I entered my building I greet some people and ignore the women who would give me a flirty smile whilst twirling some of their hair around their fingers. I quickly entered my private elevator and I hit the button for my floor, the 80th floor. I entered my office and looked around, I will never get bored of this place

I sat on my chair and pressed the intercom for my PA Katherine. I really disliked her as she was very flirtatious and would try and hit on my whenever she would see me. As she opened the door to my office she quickly unbuttoned the first 3 buttons of her already tight fitting top and would try to show me her cleavage. 'Have you never heard of knocking?' She is really getting on my nerves and I need to fire her ASAP. I hand her all the work I needed her to do and I quickly dismissed her.as soon as she was about to open the door someone barged in my office, Alexander knight my one and only best friend. I tried to keep a serious face as my PA was still there and...well Alex was literally smirking at her and she was looking at him back seriously!?
I coughed to get both of their attention and I shooed Katherine away leaving me and Alex alone. I smirked looking at Alex and got up from my seat to give him a manly hug which he gladly returned. 'what's up man?' Alex was the type of guy who can be very serious, flirty, and funny at the same time, confusing yet incredible right? I asked him what he needed and he literally just came to make me sign some papers. Seriously!? I thought we would've catched up ABIT. After about 15 mins I had to go to my parents house so I quickly told Alex to leave and I made my way to my parents house.
I greeted my parents and they told me to seat myself down as they didn't want to waste any of my time, which they never do. So I seat myself down and looked towards my parents only to find the gratitude wiped of their faces and replaced with anxiousness....'mom... dad, are you ok?' They looked at me, then eachother, then me and it continued like that for about 4 more times. My dad was the first one to speak up.
'Son..as your aware your now 24! And....it's time for you to get married' I cut him off by putting my hand up, I already knew where this was going. 'Dad! I already told you that I don't like anyone-' Now it was my mom's turn to interrupt. ' We know honey...it's just..we know you don't like anyone and you probably will never find interests in any girl so we already arranged your marraige. ' What she just said made my jaw drop and my head was fuming with anger! 'You're kidding right? You can't do that! I'm my own person! And I have the right to do what I want!' I was fed up at this point! 'When her mother asked us to take her in...we could see in her voice that she was really desperate to take her in like she didn't even want her so when we saw her picture we couldn't say no after seeing that angelic face she truly is a charm son please..' They said yes without even asking me!? My mom softly touched my forearm and made me look at her, all my anger vanished when she looked at me with her pleading eyes, she started to speak. 'Son...we know you're probably really angry at us and it's confusing how all of this is happening really fast..but please son we've never asked you for anything just this one thing! Please son....for us'
I was on my way to my home right now, I think back to what my mom said, she was right, they've never asked me for anything and when I saw her sad eyes I just had to say okay. They showed me a picture of the girl and all her information and they were right, she truly does look like an angle sent as human form. I read all of the information I got and it turns out her biological parents passed away when she was 1 year old and got adopted from the smiths couple which apparently don't love her, just use her for the sake of it.
In exactly 1 month I'll be marrying a girl not even of my choice.
