Aurora’s POV“Please, wake up James” I jolted awake once again from another dream and I sigh looking at the time and it reads 5:30am, well I might as well get ready for school.
My name is Aurora Jane Smith but my parents call me Rory and I attend Princeton High School, I’m 17 years old. I have long blonde hair that ends at my butt, bright blue eyes (which I got from my mom and blonde hair from my dad), I’m 5 ft 2 inch tall hell no, I’m short. I’m a nerd but I’m not those nerds that wear glasses or have people bully or whatever. I’m just one of those nerds that gets straight A’s and goes to school early and tries to enjoy life. Anyways, back to the task at hand I am currently getting ready to go to school. I head into the bathroom where I shower and brush my teeth then look at myself in the mirror wondering how to wear my hair today.
I ended up doing a messy bun with my hair and wearing black tight sweatpants with a matching sweatshirt and pulling my outfit together with my jordans. I check my bag to see if I have everything for my classes today and I do so I grab my phone and earplugs heading out my room and down the stairs into the kitchen where I see my mom making breakfast so I sit and she comes over putting two pancakes on my plate with bacon and eggs before kissing my forehead and going back to finish breakfast for my father. Oh yeah I totally forgot, I have an elder sister and two older brothers who are overly overprotective but they are all adults and in college.
I start eating my food when I’m tackled to the floor only to giggle at my dad who groans having me land on him.
“Richard, what have I told you about playing in my kitchen?” says my mom making me laugh at my dad’s pouting expression only for him to glare at me playfully making me roll my eyes and going back to finish my food
“I’m sorry honey but you know that I have to tackle Rory before she leaves, that’s tradition” says my dad before being whacked in the head by my mom and I once again giggle at their banter
“Rory doesn’t need you to tackle her sweetheart, she knows how much we both love her but if you want to tackle her do it outside of my kitchen because accidents happen in kitchens too” says my mom to my dad and then he pecks her before staring at her like she’s his world then out of nowhere they turn and look at me surprised so I frown a little then raise an eyebrow
“Why are you both looking at me like that?” they smile lovingly at me and I sigh
“We are just surprised how you didn’t say what your older siblings said whenever we’d kiss in front of them” I blush a little
“That’s because you both look so in love and I love seeing what you guys share because it is so rare and special, oh I had another dream last night” they both blush deeply before frowning and coming to hug me kissing both my cheeks making me giggle
“Was it the same one as the day after?” I nod feeling a lump in my throat all of a sudden
“It’ll be okay soon bambina” I smile hugging them both tightly
“Thank you both so much for always being here for me, I love you” I say as we pull apart
“We love you more” they say simultaneously and I smile finishing my breakfast then looking at my phone only to see that I have only 30 minutes before school begins so I put my dish in the sink while thanking my mom for breakfast
I kiss them on their cheeks before going out the door and into my Mustang GT500 which I so love and cherish, it was a birthday gift from my brothers and sister. I drive off to school with music playing and singing along. In the next 10 minutes I’m parking in the school’s parking lot so I grab my bag and phone as well as my earplugs then get out locking my car and proceed into the school building with my ears plugged and music blasting while heading to my locker.
