Continuation...
Startled by the sound, we all rushed to the place where the kids were. Zain was crying loudly holding his elbow tightly. I felt so worried that i immediately engulfed Zain in a hug and started to console him, like i do to Eshrat. Sensing Zain cry Eeshu also started crying. Ammi took a hold of her and patted her back till her sobs subdues. she fell a sleep in her arms while sucking her milk bottle. Now even zain's cry subdued only ocassional sniffs can be heard.

Safiya and Amina were looking at roshni in awe.they could clearly see the motherly care and love in her, which Zain was deprived of from his birth.
As now Zain calmly laid on roshni's chest. They decided to ask him about the incident.
"Beta.. Zain kya hua thum kaise ghir gaye?"questioned safiya in gentle tone.
"Dadi woh chota baby ko carry karna chahta tha but Maine mana kardiya kyoki woh abhi chota hai wo zid karne laga ki use vo chota baby chahiya aur vo gir gaya"replied aafiya refering Eshrat as 'chota baby'.whereas Zain remained quiet and snuggled more into roshni.
Roshni slowly backed him away from her embrace and asked him in her soft voice"Zain tume Eshrat ko carry karna hai?"
Zain's face brightened with a big smile as he nodded excitingly, momentarily forgetting his pain.
"Yes,auntyy" he replied in his baby voice making all of them smile at his cute antics.
"Sure beta you can carry her,but ab nahi coz tum chote ho aur Eeshu ko gira doge but jab tum bade ho jaoge tab Eeshu ko sambhal sakoge okay"explained roshni in a calm voice.
This made zain's face fell a little but next minute his smile was back as he replied."Tab mai jaldi se bada ho jaunga aunty"
All of them chuckled at his response."jaldi se bade hone ke liye khana bhi khana hotha hai Zain"said safiya.his face morphed into distaste when he heard about eating food.roshni laughed out loud already finding the similarity between Zain and Eeshu both hates to eat food.
Then they all proceeded towards the dining hall for dinner. All this while Zain never left roshni not even when his dadi tried to get him to eat dinner.
"It's ok aunty I will make him eat don't worry, even Eeshu is sleeping so no problem at all"roshni assured safiya as Amina was also busy dealing with her kids and making them eat their food.as it's biryani Zain didn't make a fuss about food and happily ate from roshni's hands.
As they all completed their dinner they were back to hall, talking and waiting for their raids.
"Dadi where's abbu" questioned Zain as he didn't see his dad even in dining hall. "Haa safiya aleem, aman aur bhaijan nahi dikhe, kaha hai wo?"questioned sajida."wo darasal Junaid ki tabiyat kharab thi isliye wo nahi aye. Rahi baath aleem aur aman ki wo kuch rishtedaro ko ghar tak chodne gaye the aa hi rahe honge"replied safiya.
"Zain.." then they all heard Aman's voice which made Zain all happy and excited as he quickly got down from Roshni's lap and jumped in his father's arms.they all turned their heads towards him.
"Assalamualaikum"he greeted them all in his deep voice."walaikum assalam" they all returned his greeting.
"Aman, kaise ho tum?kitne saal ho gaye tume dekhe"asked sajida.aman smiled in response and replied in his soft deep voice"main thik hu aunty aap kaisi ho?".
Everyone talked for a while till aleem returned and called it a night. They all promised eachother to be in touch.aman and aleem brought their car from parking to the entrance of the hall where all of them were waiting.amina api along with her kids settled in aleem's car.whereas safiya along with roshni and sajida, who agreed on lots of persuasion of safiya; settled in Aman's car. Among them all Zain was more than happy as he got some more time to spend with Eshu and roshni.that innocent soul was getting attracted to the cute antics of Eeshu and the warmth of love he felt from roshni.in his all 3 years of life he only knew his family and some other people close to his family this was his first time attending a family gathering as his father doesn't go out much to meet people.its actually aman has cocooned himself in the house along with his son Zain. After what had happened with him, he doesn't have enough courage to meet his relatives and friends. Like he distanced himself from everyone. Today he have come to the function as they are their close family, he couldn't say no to them and gave up on their further insistence.Roshni's pov
Eeshu was deep sleep when we reached home. We both thanked aunty and aman for dropping us home."iski zaroorat kya hai beta, altaf ko mera salam kehna" with this they drove back on the road.
We rang the doorbell and entered the house when abbu opened it."sajida mujhe call kardethe. I would've picked you two."Ammi was explaining how we met the khan's, they dropped us home and I silently retired myself to room with Eeshu. I put her in her crib while I changed myself into some comfortable clothes.
I placed Eeshu next to me as I embrace myself to sleep.but who am I kidding sleep is far away from me the time he entered my life. My life was normal until he steered the normality of my life and filled it with chaos. Chaos... So many that I hardly had time to think about myself. Coming to think of my life married at 23, mother at 24 and now divorced at 25. I couldn't imagine my life turning upside-down in the mere three years. It's hard to live your life normally like nothing have happened to you but you have to for the people who wants you to live happily. Happiness is a word whose meaning i came to know of after the birth of my daughter. She is the only hope I have got after the depressed life i have gone through.she is the light to my now dark life
She is the only one along with my family who gave me the will to live again for myself and also for my daughter.with these thoughts i fell into a deep slumber.Assalamualaikum,
