Author's pov

    All the members of khan family dispersed to their rooms immediately when they returned from mall. New Parents were busy in making their kids asleep. And the elders were taking rest.
    But safiya was restless, they were lying on bed for past 15 minutes and she was just turning on her sides.
"safiya..kya hua hai?" Asked Junaid well aware of her restlessness but couldn't find the reason for it.
"Kuch nahi..." Replied safiya busy in her thoughts.
"Aise kaise kuch nahi kuch toh baat hai batao mujhe,Dil halka hojaga thumara." Junaid said softly.
" Ek baat hai kayi dino se khai Jaa Rahi hai. mujhe lagtha hai ki......." Safiya told him everything what she was thinking.Junaid too thought about what safiya was telling. This decision will be good if Allah wills.
"Insha'Allah".. saying this both went to deep slumber with a smile on their face.

Next morning,
Shaik's house

    Roshni was up early in the morning. Done with her fazar prayers went to get ready for the day. Coming downstairs she made breakfast for everyone.
         Her parents and sister joined shortly after. They were all chatting to each other about anything and everything. Ruh's complain about Mondays as why there's Monday after Sunday why not more saturdays a week so she can have more holidays all laughing at her chatter and innocence.
     After breakfast everyone dispersed. she came back to her room to see Eeshu wide awake in her crib playing with the toys attached to it. She took her into her arms and fed her milk. And the day went by the same routine as every day except there was some excitement and anticipation in the air about what to come.
   

roshni's pov

    In the evening everyone were back from work enjoying their time in the hall. Eeshu was with her grandpa playing with her toys.
   Ammi and i were watching TV whereas ruh was busy with her phone. Everything was normal but there was something I feel was different like something was about to happen. And trust me my gut feelings are never wrong.
  A shrill sound of phone ringing brought me out of my thoughts. My mom took the call and mouthed safiya aunty. She went out of the room to talk with her while again i transfixed my gaze to the movie running on the tv.
   After about 10-15 mins ammi came back and called abba out. Has anything happened that was my first doubt but i let it slide as i was engrossed in the movie. Now Eeshu was with her khala who was showing her rhymes in the iPad.
   Ammi abbu came back and everything was well but i knew deep down there was something going on. Like i said before my gut feeling is never wrong. Because after dinner ammi told ruh to take Eeshu along with her as they have something important to talk to me.
  "Beti there's something we need to speak to you about" abba took the lead.In return i nodded my head as a sign to continue.
"A proposal have come for you from the Junaid and safiya for Aman." Ammi blasted the bomb.
      I can hear my hear beats and feel the cold sweat broke out on my  forehead, ammi's words were ringing in my ears.
'A proposal have come for you from the Junaid and safiya for Aman.'
The memories of my past rushed to my mind making me numb.
"Ruushi..ruushi...beti are you listening to me?"asked ammi.
" uh...ha i heard you ammi. But you know that I'm not ready for this"i replied gathering my thoughts and composing my self infront of them.
"Beti... Give yourself a chance. If not yours atleast think about your-"
"mmiiii...."
her ammi's words were cutoff by a loud wail.
"Eeshu.."i  worriedly rushed to her not listening to ammi's words. But who am I kidding knowing sajida shaik she will not leave the matter to rest until she is successful.
But for now I'm not ready to face this. I need some peace of my mind to think through this.

Author's pov

Meanwhile in the khan's house.

"Ammi i already told you that I'm happy with my zainuu I don't need any one else in my life"answered aman.
Even though it hurts to reject his mother's wishes but it was very hard for him to accept it.
"Aman beta.. atleast think about Zain he is only 3 years ; deprived of a mother's love-"
"Ammi not again,we have discussed this more than a 1000times. You're like a motherly figure in his life and he doesn't need anyone's love except ours"patiently explained aman.
Because we all know that in our society the stepmom is always portrayed as an evil and he doesn't want his son to be hurt.
"Beta I can be a motherly figure to him but never a real mother. So, think about this proposal.
Roshni is a good lady beta.. she is a mother of a child herself, she will take good care of Zain I can promise that.I know your concerns, as a mother I would never want bad for you and my grand child."replied his ammi who very well knew about her son and his concerns regarding Zain.
Aman left the hall as it is time zain's sleeping time. But actually escaping his mother's persistence about his remarriage.
