Chapter 2 - Last Will

Yamiko's POV

All my life I've been living my best. Lahat nang gusto nang dad at lolo ko ay sinusunod ko. 5 years ago, they appointed me as the next CEO and I was very happy because I worked so hard for that position until I found out that my grandfather's last will is for me to get married at the age of 26 and if I can't, I will not be able to inherit his company instead my Uncle Asuka will takeover the company.

I cannot accept the fact that Uncle Azuka will inherent the company, I am the one who worked hard for it. I should be the one to be the next heir and I will do anything just to inherit the company. My birthday is in 2 months so I must need a wife in 1 month. And how can I get a wife in merely 1 month? It's insane but my only choice is to hire a wife.

Flashback

We were eating dinner with my family. My lola is a conservative person. She always talked to me about marrying a decent woman. And there's mom, always asked me to get married so that she can babysit her apo. Dad just wanted me to do what I want and there's Venesse, my sister, she always asked about when will I can have a girlfriend. Like now, she's asking me to get a girlfriend.

"Stop it, Venesse."

"How lonely." Pang-aasar niya.

"Your ojisan (grandfather) in the hospital always talks about you getting married before he died, he's so adamant that he wrote it on his last will for you to get married at age of tw—."

"Okaasan (Mother)," Dad intervened.

"Yuri, yamiko should know. His birthday is in 2 months, how will Yamiko get married in that short period of time if he's not into intimate relationship." Sabi ni lola.

"What is this all about? Why am I getting married?" Galit kung sabi dahil naguguluhan na ako sa mga sinasabi nila.

"In your ojisan's (grandfather) last will, it stated their that you need to get married at the age of 26 to inherit his company. And if you're not married at that age, my brother Asuka will takeover it. Ipinagsawalang bahala ko iyon at hindi na sinabi sa iyo dahil may kompanya naman ako for you to inherit." Dad explained.

"But I worked hard for that company dad!! I can't just give it to Uncle. Naging sanay na ako sa kompanya ni lolo and I'm loving it dad. You can't just take it away from me."

"Well son, your birthday is in 2 months. You don't even have a girlfriend."

"I have a girlfriend." I lied.

"Hindi ako maniniwala diyan." Pang-aasar ni Venesse.

"Don't lie to me." Mom warned me.

"I am not. She's my long time girlfriend. I'm just too busy to take her home." I lied again.

"Then we will meet her tomorrow night. Bring her. If you can't, then it settled. You're not getting the company." Dad declared.

End of the Flashback.

The only person I trust is my cousin, Eloise. Even though, she's too young to understand my situation. I think she'll support me with this so I called her to get some help.

"Yes kuya." Eloise answered.

"Do you have time?"

"Yes. What is it?"

"Let's meet at the cafe now."

"Atat yarn?"

"Now." I ended the call.

We're on the same company and she's working as an HR. She's the closest relative I have so I trust her and her opinion.

Pagdating ko sa ground floor which where the cafe is located. Naroon na siya at kumakain nang cake. Nang makita niya ako, she waved her hand.
