I woke up weird and dazed,
feeling unworthy for the day.
Then I see your face half-hidden in the pillow.
Deep in your slumber, free from the morning's wallow.
A smile slip out and I caress your hair.
Longing effortlessly tie me back to bed.
I don't want to stay awake if death feels this peaceful.
You're the moon to my night
oh how incomplete I am without you.
You're half a mystery
some I have figured out and some still in depth of the sea.
I hope someday to explore,
all the ways you are birthed and made for.
And after all the search
I hope it's me you end up with at the edge of the shore.
