Chapter 7

<Aizawa's POV>

I walk through the door to my class' common room, shutting it behind me as I let out an exhausted sigh. Looking around I find that most of the students are already gathered in the lounging area watching a movie, good this makes gathering them all up easier.
"Mr. Aizawa, what's up?" Kaminari, the electrifying boy, states with a smile. He is soon met with a light knock on the head followed by a scowling Iida.
"Kaminari that is no way to greet your teacher and fellow hero," he states shaking his head and then turning to me with a slight bow "Aizawa sensei what can we do for you?" he asks. With a slight smirk and a shake of my head, I sigh.
"For now can you please go upstairs and gather everyone into the common room's lounge please, I have an announcement to make" I order, and with that Iida nods taking Todoroki with him up the stairs to gather the rest of his class. Looking around the remainder of the class that was already grouped here look around confused, whispering ideas about what I could be announcing. 'This will be an absolute delight to explain to them all' I think sarcastically.

As the remainder of my students all come down to the lounge area their gazes turn to me. All confused and all waiting expectantly for the important news I have. A long sigh escapes my lips and I begin the conversation I have been dreading.
"Students," the room goes quiet as they all look up at me "before I tell you all the news I have I ask you all to try your best to remain as calm and civilized as possible alright?" I ask. The room fills with mutters in confusion before Uraraka speaks up for the class.
"Of course sir, we will try our best." The room once again goes silent, I take it as a signal to continue.
"As some of you may have heard the heroes," I gesture to myself and a poster of the more well-known heroes the students stuck to the wall "have captured another villain yesterday." I hear hums and murmurs of confirmation to hearing the news. Nodding my head I continue.
"Well due to a mishap that happened inside of the prison many cells are needing repairing and there's no room for new inmates. The heroes and I have been working on the idea of a villain rehabilitation program here at UA for villains under the age of 21" Muffled gasps and whispers begin to flood the room. If this is their reaction to just the idea of the program they're about to be in for a rude shock.
"settle down there is still more," I exclaim and the room goes silent once more.
"The villain has been placed in UA's custody due to the shortage of space in the prison and Principle Nezu and I have agreed to allow them to be our, shall we say, experiment for this program. The young man will be joining class 1A for the remainder of this class' years at UA providing that everything goes well." This brings the class into a total uproar. The yelling of protests and concerns fill the once silent room, flooding my ears like the sea crashing against a rocky shore. Why me? Just kill me already honestly, I can't be bothered. I should have stayed in bed.

Iida was the first to stand.
"Mr. Aizawa with all due respect this is a terrible idea and completely irresponsible on so many levels. Think of the safety of this class and our fellow students at UA. Having a villain roam around puts everyone in grave danger!" he proclaims worriedly. This boy's mind... Always worrying about the well-being and safety of others. He will make a remarkable and admirable hero one day.
"No need to worry Iida. He will be under strict surveillance and will have an anti-quirk tech on him at all times. To also further ensure the safety of others a Pro Hero will always be accompanying him everywhere he goes outside of the dorms and class. I state in an attempt to reassure some of the uneasiness of the young heroes before me.
Mina was the second to speak up, her calm question coming somewhat of a surprise to many of the panicking students around her.
"You said it's a rehabilitation program right?" I nod my head in confirmation telling her to go on "So that means we are attempting to be steering this troubled person onto the right path and giving them a second chance. So that means they have to have at least a little bit of a shot at redemption right?" I once again nod in response. She is right. The only reason Nezu and I even allowed Dabi to participate is because he showed some evidence of a kind heart. I look around the class as Mina continues.
"So shouldn't we approach this more openly and welcome them instead of making them feel like a burden?" she states, hands on hips in a way that demanded to be listened to. She will also make an excellent hero one day, they all will. Well... maybe not all I think as my gaze slips to the short boy making googling eyes at the pink girl's legs. I give him a glare of warning as we make eye contact and he quickly straightens up, looking away. My attention turns towards the next person to speak up, a somewhat why boy himself.
"Mina is right! We should at least try to give them a chance to redeem themselves and who knows they might make themselves a great friend to some of us." Midoriya exclaims happily. Though I am somewhat doubtful of the idea of Dabi making friends due to his attitude towards anyone connected to being a hero I still nod my head in agreement.
