Stars pouring over you without you noticing. You smile and a new flower blooms. The more I see you running, the fast my heart beats. While I hold your hand like this — All About You, NCT U

COLLEGE SEEMS JUST THE BEGINNING OF ENTERING THE REAL WORLD AND CHANGMIN FEELS HIS HEART CLENCH, wondering if the dance club will make it. Turning halfway, his brown eyes land on a brunette wearing a beanie to compliment his casual attire.

But when a smile crosses his face, it makes Changmin's heart shake.

Changmin feels a warm smile tug at the corner of his mouth, watching him smile and laugh with his friends from high school.

He hasn't changed. Kevin's heart hasn't changed—sparkles like moonlight, radiating kindness, and stories leaving a mark on the world. And he's so far yet close.

Every single time. Every second. Every time he goes to bed, the boy's always on his mind, and he thinks life would be depressing without him because of his resemblance to his mother.

The problem with loving him is telling him that he loves him because of several reasons, which are endless.

Changmin can't seem to prepare himself for heartbreak, a love rival, or a situation that causes them to leave each other. It's ridiculous to think because they're not boyfriends, let alone friends.

It's better to keep his distance and approach when he needs help like a knight in shining armor.

He knew this since prom night despite accepting his brother's apologies and forgiving him.

While he played the piano with his band and held Kevin's eyes, watching him disappear down the hallway with Jacob, Changmin's hand curled into a fist, jaw tight. And seeing him kiss his brother felt like glass shattering. Memories of his dad with another woman in bed rushed back like blood dripping from a sudden cut. Without pressure, the pain is insane and throbs as his beating heart.

He ran away from home to the park, hoping he would find Chanhee at the swings.

Jacob kissed Kevin even when they promised each other to keep Kevin protected, knowing he had feelings for the boy, and it hurt. He doesn't need to know what happened after and could care less. Actually, it does hurt so, so much.

He has to remind himself to stay away, knowing he'll cause burns. His emotional capacity is similar to a fire's high flammability.

Chanhee is the only one he can confide in and lean on. Almost as if he's his soulmate.
