Love Justice (Love Series #1)

Prologue

In the seven years I worked hard to become a lawyer, even though I did not officially become a lawyer, I have witnessed a crime. Someone has threatened me even though... I don't know anything. because I'm close to him.

I win the cases I get, sometimes not because it's the right thing to do. Shouldn't always win if justice wins. Until now I still carry the past that should be forgotten. But I became better and what I was fighting for became clearer now. I already have an answer to that question but... I still can't.

"Kaya 'ko ba?" I whispered.

I know that every time I get close to the cases, I am getting closer to my death. But I just want to save someone because I know that their has better right to live.

If no one does, who else?

"Sabrina Angelique Davis. Attorney to this court." Now I tasted the true reality that he said I should prepare for. Kaya ko ba? No matter what I avoid that person, we always meet. If I have to choose, I don't want to see him.

"Prosecutor. Plurezza."

Like him, I know he has something to fight against. And according to the reason why I also fight, I influence. I'm still happy to see him. Even if I don't want to. Even from a distance, I could watch him. Like before, I've been watching him but he's moving away because danger is getting close to him and how close I am to him is also getting close to me.

Lumabas na ako doon, i massage my temple. Because before I was out there, there was trouble. He was begging to the prosecutor, he also called me because he said that I lost the case. I laughed sarcastically hearing what he said.

"This is your fault! It's because of you! You are a useless lawyer! May oras ka din- can you let me go! You will also die because of what you are doing!" My side lips rose up.

"Disgusting. Fuck you." I mouthed the last part.

Napa hinto pa ako dahil naka sabay 'ko syang lumabas. Pero nag tuloy tuloy pa rin sya hindi pinansin ang presensya 'ko.

I met a different person. He is different now. I don't see him laugh anymore, not like before. His whole personality changed after that day.

Natigilan siya para mapahinto rin ako. "Congrats." Napa kunot ang noo 'ko.

"What?"

"You lost another case again."

"It's a destiny." Na tawa sya ng sarkastiko.

"You believe that?" Pinag mumuka nya pa akong parang bata, na hindi alam ang realidad. Sya nga ang dahilan para makita 'ko ito ng buo.

"Puwede ba 'kung sasabihin mo lang yan sa 'kin wag ka nang mag salita. Because I also don't care what you believe, not anymore."

"Oh... should I say thanks?" Sama ng ugali!

"Wala ka talagang kwenta." Sinamaan 'ko sya ng tingin. "Yes, it must. Thank me until I accept it. You deserve the wait."

"Isn't seven years enough?" Napa awang ang labi 'ko.

"I don't need your thanks. And i don't need you, ibasura mo na yan." Gusto 'ko syang murahin. Sa lahat lahat ng gingawa nya pinag muka nya akong tanga.

Sa lahat pa ng taong binigay 'ko ang tiwala 'ko bakit sa kanya pa. He was a dream that I would never want to reach. Anymore.
