Chapter 30: Forever

Bailey's POV

"You aren't serious right?", I was too shocked to ask anything else.

"I am!! You are gonna get a part-time job anyways. So why not?", Suho said.

Its no joke. I know it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, but this is pretty heavy for me.

Let me break it down to you.

Well apparently, while we were in the mall getting extra groceries for the BBQ, someone took a picture of Baekhyun and I. And it was posted on SNS. That angle looked so wrong and there were already mean comments popping up.

It definitely looked like Baekhyun was kissing my cheek, but he wasn't actually. He was only whispering to me. So, when Suho showed us the pic, I almost cried because it would affect them so much and that was never my intention. I will really hate it so much if EXO were to be hated by the public by something untrue.

"Nae hyung. You sure you'll be alright with it right?", Suho was talking to their manager.

"Gwaenchana Bailey ah. It won't be too bad. That's me too. I'm sure our eris will understand", Baekhyun rubbed my shoulders to reassure me. I felt like he would be in so much pressure and yet he is the one comforting me. I am so dead.

"Don't worry Bailey. We are all here. We are ONE. We won't let you be harmed by anyone", Chanyeol sat beside me too.

"Bailey ah you'll be fine. We'll let the PR team to handle it. So till then, you'll be manager hyung's assistant", Suho calmly said.

"Oooh that's actually a great idea", both Chanyeol and Baekhyun exclaimed. Even Xiumin and Jongdae came rooting for me.

"Yeah Bae, do it. Be the assistant manager. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. I envy you girl", Sam nudged me. 

"Well, if its gonna help control the situation, I'm down."

"I'm very sorry guys. I have been nothing but trouble to you guys", I apologized.

"Its not your fault. We were only getting groceries. And the person who took the pic decided to makeup some false accusations to make us look bad. So stop blaming yourself alright", Suho butted in.

He squeezed my hand which was already fisted up tightly. The rest of the members were seen calm.

And Suho is right. We didn't do anything wrong. The members are humans and they need to eat too. Getting groceries is such a normal chore. Yeah and I wasn't even was with them in the beginning. Suho saw me, talked to me and then we helped each other to carry groceries. Very decent.  Nothing wrong with that.  

"Bailey, Bailey. Hello Bailey", Baekhyun kept calling my name.

"Nae? Nae, yes yes what is it?", I asked. Unsure of what was happening.

"Are you alright?", Chanyeol asked worriedly. His eyebrows all scrunched up.

"I guess? I mean on the bright side, I get to work with you guys!! I get to see you guys practice for comebacks or world tour", I replied suddenly getting excited.

Being EXO's assistant manager probably wouldn't be so bad right? All is well. I really hope so.

Not gonna lie, I'm surprised at how things went. The news died down within a week. The PR team managed this news really well. No more mean comments were popping up. It was also thanks to EXO members going live on Instagram, telling EXOLs to believe them and not just some rumour.

Suho even asked me to introduce myself when they were on live. Of course with a mask on, just for precaution purposes cause you'll never know what will happen.

I also received comments saying I looked young to be an assistant manager. But the members were quick to explain that we were almost of the same age. Thus, we are comfortable with each other.

"Nae yeorobeun, please don't make bad comments on Bailey-ssi alright eri-deul. She's not only our assistant manager, but she's like our best friend too", Baekhyun told fans that were watching their live.

"That's right. EXOL ah be good to Bailey ssi okay", Kai added. His killer smile definitely melted many hearts. Cause I melted too.

I was super grateful to them.

The most important thing would be that EXO still had their trusted, loving fanbase. I'm forever grateful to be called an EXOL. Forever grateful to them. And forever grateful I met them as a fan.

Time really flew by so quick. I became EXO's assistant manager for the whole semester break and I've learnt so much from their manager. He was not only patient with me, but he was also very kind in teaching me new things to keep up with the members' schedule.

Despite EXO just finishing one year in college, they had plans to continue their studies. Suho told me that he planned to further his studies when he had free time.

But I really doubt that. Each member had really packed schedules. From group or solo photoshoots to astonishing big brand commercials to reality shows, I can't even list them down. EXO is just that famous.

I should have expected it since its their comeback after a year of hiatus. Aside from being super busy, I am super proud and excited that EXO is still superior in the KPOP industry.

I am beyond blessed to be able to work with them.

Some may wonder what my relationship with the boys is especially with Suho.

One thing for sure is that I will always love and support them no matter what. And working with them just made me fall deeper in love with each and every member.

As for Suho, I don't think it will be a good time to be a couple with him. I am happy enough to be working with him.

Yes, he does steal kisses from me from time to time. But we talked about it and agreed to make things official once they aren't so busy. And its our business and not for others to judge. So, we'll be keeping things private.

I had also been really good friends with Chanyeol, Sehun and Baekhyun. Chanyeol and Baekhyun had always took good care of me. While Sehun is just another giant baby that loves being babied by me.

Not forgetting Sam's and my fave, Kim Kai. It was not the romantic feeling we had for him. But the love we had was more like appreciation and adoration for him.

At times I will record his dance practices and show them to Sam. And we end up fangirling and getting so hype over Kai.

Once we got caught by Kris when we were watching Kai's dance practice. Sam was allowed to enter the practice room cause we all trusted each other. "Oh my freaking god, he is so hawttt. Look at those movements. Smooth. And that jawline, he can cut me with that", Sam fangirled and kept hitting me.

"Ow ow ow", Sam jokingly said when Kris came over to pinch her ears. "You're drooling over some other guy when you have me?"

Oh ya, Sam and Kris became official. Because apparently, "following rules isn't my style" quoted by Kris Wu the galaxy lover himself.

So, as you can see, we are all very happy.

Instead of questioning I was in heaven or hell, I would say that it was a paradise.
