Elyana"Baba, I promise, last night I was in the museum taking pictures of art I have a project on." I swallowed a gulp, my father looks at me with his brows raised almost not believing me.
I've never been the type to lie to my parents, and I would never want to do that. So I'm just trying to be honest with him, but not include the Chase part.
"Baba, I think she's lying. She must have been with a boy," Batul, my little sister, said folding her arms. I gasp and as I was about to attack her my father cleared his throat. "Enough now, I trust you Elyana, you know I do." My father said.
Thank god.
I look over to my little sister and stuck my tongue at her.
"Whatever," she rolled her eyes and looked away. My father looks back at me and sighs, "Therefore I wanted to tell you that you'll be staying here alone for a month. I'm taking your mother and sister to Iraq. Your grandma is sick and we have to help her." He took a sip from his tea.
I furrowed my brows, "What? You're going without me? But Baba I've always wanted to go back to-"
"Elyana, do we have to remind you that you have studies to focus on?" My mother spoke up. I grunt, trying to calm myself down to not make a scene not disrespect my father.
"Fine."
My father always travels back to our homeland with my family except me. He never wants to take me with him for some reason, so I have to stay here having nothing to do in this rotten town where I have to deal with this hell school.
I sit in the cafeteria with Hawa in front of me bursting out with laughter after I told her what happened yesterday. I don't even want to think about how furious I was yesterday because of him.
"Girl! Tell me you're joking."
I exhaled resting my face on my hand, "I wish I was," I muttered. She kept laughing before shaking her head, "I can't believe, Elyana Rasool, got chased by some guards with Chase Kingston."
"Don't laugh, it's not funny. I'm still pissed about the whole thing." I told her, but she couldn't take me seriously, and let out a giggle again.
"What are you two talking about?" Diba walks up to us and takes a seat next to Hawa. Hawa clears her throat and looks over at me, wanting for me to reply. "Uh, nothing special."
"Well, Hawa's laughter that filled the cafeteria didn't seem like anything special." She looked at us with a confused expression. What the hell, why is she being so nosy today?
"Diba, please. We weren't talking about anything specific." Why is everyone so annoying today?
"Chill."
Chill? I'm not chilling today, I'm already pissed.
Seconds later we see the Monster High crew walk into the cafeteria, and I don't have the energy to talk or argue with any of them so I look down at my plate trying to ignore them.
But that didn't go as planned after I heard Serena's heels walk toward our table. "Hi girls, could we sit with you?" She fakes a smile.
I look at Chase who was already smirking at me, gosh why do I want to kill that man every time he looks at me. "No-"
"Yeah, sure," Diba said with an excited smile before Chase took a seat in front of me and Serena on his lap. Their friends sat next to them smiling for some weird reason.
Both Hawa and I give Diba a look, what the fuck wrong is with her? These people literally made fun of her and embarrassed her in front of the whole school and she still respects them.
