Leaning back on her office chair, she takes in a deep breath. Nagoya currently lives in a laboratory deep in the woods. As a researcher, she's tasked in further developing Pokémon technology. She bites the back of her pen, seemingly in deep thought. The quiet buzz of her computer stops right as she shuts it off. She's done enough for tonight. A soft beep is audible, coming from the bathroom. Its then followed by a robotic voice.
"Your bath is ready."
She walks in and undresses, taking another deep breath. The baths gentle warmth is soothing as always. She slowly dips her foot into the water, then her leg and eventually she's fully submerged. Her glasses fog up and she decides to take them off and leave them to the side.
The tiles on the floor look very old. The previous owner of the laboratory used cheap wood but it still miraculously held up throughout the ages.
Closing her eyes, she slowly drifted off. Her consciousness wandering into her vast mind space.
Before she knew it, ten minutes have passed in complete silence. Her entire body felt like she was falling, as if she was slowly melting into a pool of sensations. Relaxing yet somehow ominous. Reluctantly, she opened her eyes, reuniting with the blurry surroundings of her bathroom. The creeks of the old floor tiles and occasional water drips almost nostalgic.
She puts on her glasses, pushing her hair behind her ear and adjusting the frame for comfort. Her blurry surroundings quickly sharpening. She slowly rose out of the water, putting on a dry bath towel and slippers. She slides open the door and exits the bath.
Her room is adjacent to her work quarters. She makes a left, opening the door. The old hard wood door is practically hanging on for dear life by the rusty bolts.
"Maybe I should renovate this place.." She thinks, jumping on her bed. She shifts around, and droops her thick blanket over herself.
The forest is dead quiet. The atmosphere is surprisingly calm despite this. She lays on her back, staring up at her ceiling.
"I never leave the house nowadays.. Now that I think about it.. I've really never left Sinnoh my entire life."
She hugs her pillow, rolling to her side.
"My dirty clothes are pilling up too. I believe the forecast for tomorrow is a high probability that it'll be sunny.. I might as well do my laundry."
Nagoya yawns and closes her eyes.
"I'm exhausted.. I've decided then. I'll leave the house tomorrow."
And with that final thought, she drifted off to sleep.
