Chapter 2

As I walked down the hot streets, through short cuts and around corners, I felt a little better. I sat down at a bench at a small park next to a pre-school.

I pulled out my book but my mind kept wondering off to other places.

Did he like me?

What if Michael finds out what will he do?

"Excuse me miss, whats wrong?"

Shit I didn't realize that I started crying

I lifted my head up from my book to see a small child, probably from the school standing in-front of me.

"No I'm sorry, just the suns too bright." I said as i tried to wipe my eyes.

He pushed my bag closer to me and sat on the extra space left on the bench.

"I'm waiting for my big brother, so pick me up" He played with is hands and stared at me. I closed my book to not be rude and stuffed it in my packed bag.

"So why are you sitting here" I didn't want to be a bad example so i just replied with a quick "Just wanted to go outside".

He nodded, having nothing else to say.

We awkwardly in till the small child jumped up from his spot and ran to a tall figure to far for me to see. It walked closer, now insight, It was a blonde, long wavy haired, man-boy thing. I couldn't tell because he was giggling when I heard him.

"Thanks for sitting with Jason." He said flashing a big smile at me with 2 dimples. "I'm Ashton", He stuck his hand out for me to shake.

I grabbed his hand and shook "I'm Lilly nice to meet you."

"Well we were just going to grab something to eat do you, maybe, wanna come?" Ashton scratched the back of his neck, looking nervous.

"I might just have to take you up on the offer!" I agreed smiling, standing up and grabbing my bag.

I followed him to a small family diner fairly close to the school. We talked the whole way there, about random things. He is actually a really funny person, in a weird way, I just felt bad for Jason, we didn't really include him.

"We're here, m'lady" Ash bowed, opening the door.

"m'lady?" I asked, walking into the homey restaurant.

"Yes, don't question it" He laughed, "You can pick where we sit"

I slid into a random booth, Ashton and Jason following.

"I wanna sit next to Lily" Jason wined.

Ashton and I laughed as the small body wiggled in the tall booth.

We continued the conversation about music in till our food came. I slowly ate because Ashton kept the conversation going.

We finished our food and He insisted on paying then walking me home.

On the way to my house we included Jason into the conversation more asking him questions every once-and-a-while. We exchanged numbers and hugged each-other, saying our goodbyes.

I walked inside, ran up to my room and sank down onto my bed. I was trying to sleep but suddenly my phone vibrated.

Where did you go beautiful?

From an unknown number? Who? What?
