You wake up absolutely breathless. You had just had the worst nightmare you've had in a long time. Sarah soon wakes up, due to your shaking. Tears begin to flow down you face like a waterfall. You begin to hyperventilate. Sarah realized what was going on and quickly took you into her arms.
"It was just a dream love, your safe with me okay? Nothing can hurt you while your in my arms. Deep breaths sweetheart." She said as she stroked your back.
You feel your breathing begin to return to somewhat normal. She pulled you out of the hug, and cupped your face. She used her thumb to remove any tears that appeared on your face.
"You are safe love, I promise. Nothing can hurt you. I got you." She says as she pulls you back into her warm embrace.
You continue to shake, as you were still shooken up from the nightmare you just experienced. Sarah noticed, and pulled you closer.
"shhh." She whispered as she continued to rub your back.
You finally felt safe. Being in Sarah's arms, and her rubbing your back, really calms you down.
"I love you Sarah." You whispered into her ear.
"I love you too, my sweet girl." Sarah said back, giving you goosebumps.
