Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. I should be working on Slipstream, considering that I take like two months to finish every chapter.
However, if I'm very lucky, this project will help me write my main story more quickly, too.
So, to put it simply, I'm trying to make a habit of writing more often, just to stay sharp. The issue is, of course, that a lot of the time I'm just not quite feeling up to the task of balancing everything I want to do in a Slipstream chapter with where the plot is supposed to go and all that, which usually leads to me writing nothing at all.
To fix that, I'm going to be putting a bunch of assorted ideas and stand-alone bits I want to do in a fic, and write those instead to get back in the habit of putting words to text.
My thinking is that if I can get myself writing on a consistent basis, I'll have a much easier time getting chapters out for my main focus as well.
Fragments will, of course, be the place where I publish them. Don't worry too much about the quality- just because I don't plan to write them fully doesn't mean I'll be lazy with what I do write.
It's just that I don't have a full idea of what I want to do with them like I do Slipstream.
Anyway, with my rather lengthy explanation out of the way, I'll let you get on to the actual fragment.
Hopefully, I'll see you guys again soon!
