The day they move to California

(This is when they say good byes and start leaving)

It was morning and the party arrived at Will and Els's house, Joyce gave them half the day since they had a lot to pack they all just go to the living room with the T.V. still there. They decide to watch a movie Will sitting next to Lucas on the floor Max on the right with a blanket and El is in the middle of Max and Mike, Dustin sitting next to Will aswell. They finished watching the movie and decided to talk for a bit but just about missing El mostly and other stuff. Lucas and Will barely talked Lucas saw Will with a frown and a sad face, spacing out. Lucas decides to take Will to his room but little does Will know Lucas had a present to give him. "Will I know how you feel left out since Mike was originally your first best friend but hey remember you still have other people not only just Mike and I know that we're not just gonna miss El we will miss you and her. Though I'll mostly miss you since you were there for me at my games and also when I was at my lowest. Either way, Will you know damn fucking well I'm going to miss you even if we used to fight" Lucas starts tearing up. Will is slightly smiling while sobbing he hugs Lucas crying on his shoulder. "Will I have to show you something?" Lucas said to the boy crying. "What is it?" Will said. Lucas pulls a friendship bracelet with their favorite colors and a little book with pictures of him and Will also a couple with the group. "Will remember I care for you a lot I loved that u attended my games and how we would have sleepovers. I'll try to send letters when I can and call you but if you need to speak to someone or you are lonely don't be afraid to call me I'll try to make time." Lucas said smiling. Will also start smiling just hugging each other for a bit. Will thinking if he should tell Lucas that he's gay or not. "Lucas, I need to tell you something," Will says in a serious tone making Lucas wonder what he has to say "I-I am..." shortly gets cut off by Dustin barging into the room making Will flinch. "hey umm do you guys wanna get some ice cream with us?" the boy in the door frame says. "sure why not, let's go, Will". "ok," Will says. They all head to scoops ahoy to get their ice cream when they arrive they start eating it and talking and decide to go look at stuff. Lucas walking with them remembers that Will had to say something to him but was cut off by Dustin asking them if they wanted to get some ice cream. Lucas tells the group that he and Will, will be back he had to say something to him in private. Lucas tells Will to follow them outside. "Quick question what did you have to say earlier?". "oh uh how do I say this..." the boy says in a nervous tone. Lucas looks at the boy suspicous. "Will you don't have to say it if you're not ready, tell me when you feel like saying it. It really doesn't matter if you wanna tell me now. Just cause you're leaving doesn't have to mean that you need to spill stuff you aren't ready to say to people or tell." Lucas says giving a small laugh. That makes Will have a bit of a relieving feeling but wanted to tell Lucas so bad. "Lucas i-i am gay..." Will says looking down not wanting to look straight at the boy Lucas staring at him with an 'oh' look. "I KNOW ITS WEIRD AND DISGUSTING TO LIKE THE SAME GENDER B-BUT I HAD TO TELL YOU B-BECAUSE I FELT LIKE YOU NEEDED TO KNOW. I-IM SORRY IF I MADE YOU UNCOMFY" Will says running to his bike speeding up so Lucas wouldn't catch up to him. Lucas was surprised and looked at Will leaving. Lucas is guilty for not talking after Will finished saying what he had to say. 'SHIT SHIT SHIT WHAT DID I DO I MIGHT OF JUST RUINED OUR FRIEND SHIP' Will says in his mind while speeding up going to some park he found with a nice view of a lake. Meanwhile with Lucas. Lucas runs inside panting since they were on the other side of place of the mall. "GUYS GUYS W-WE HAVE TO GO LIKE RIGHT NOW. I DON'T KNOW WHERE WILL LEFT TO" Lucas says panting within the words. They all go outside to the house to look for him. They didn't find Will home and they get worried not knowing where he is looking for him everywhere. Jane wasn't feeling good she was having a stomach ache Mike and Max decided to stay while Lucas and Dustin look for Will. They start searching again until Lucas spots Will on one of the benches beside the lake that was kinda clear. Lucas runs up to Will screaming his name from a distance. Will turns around to see Lucas and Dustin turning to him. "Shit did he tell Dustin" he says mumbling under his breath. Lucas runs up to Will to hug him. "WHY DID YOU DISAPPEAR ON ME YOU GOT ME SO WORRIED" Lucas said. "Yeah man we couldn't find you we were gonna call the cops to search for you" Dustin says worriedly. "Oh I'm sorry I just needed a bit of time to my self I didn't mean to make you guys worry" Will says to the boys next to him. "Its fine dude just don't do that again" Dustin said. Lucas remembered Will coming out to him and wanted to respond to him at that moment so he won't make Will worry that he didn't accept him. "Hey Dustin can you give me and Will space I need to tell him something" the boy says. "Sure I'll be by the bikes if you need me" Dustin says walking away. "William Byers..." Lucas says taking in a deep breath. Will getting nervous after Lucas saying his full name. "I accept you I really don't care what you are I'll support you either way. Nothing will change anything about you. Either way I had a feeling you weren't really interested into girls." Lucas gives a small smile. "oh" Will says smiling hugging Lucas. "Hey lets go back now" Lucas says telling the other boy. "FINALLY YOU GUYS TOOK FOREVER I THOUGHT SOMEONE WAS GONNA KIDNAP ME" Dustin says making Will laugh. "Oh shut up we didn't even take that long it was like 10 minutes that we took and you standing here" Lucas says. "Whatever you say" Dustin rolling his eyes. Will smiling at them. They all head back and El was feeling better now and they had a couple of minutes before they leave. "oh hi Will you guys back now" El says smiling at them. She goes to hug Will. "Hey guys its time to go now" Jonathan says. "Really it's been that long" Dustin says making a sad face. They all say bye to them Dustin gives Will a big hug and Lucas. "I'll miss you Will" Lucas says "Me to bye Will" the other short boy says Max and Mike also say bye to Will. Joyce and El were in the Uhual moving truck with stuff in the back and Jonathan and Will were gonna go in a other car.Lucas stayed he had to tell Will something and the rest have left except for Dustin to. "I'll try to send letters to you have a nice trip" Dustin says starting to leave. Lucas hugs Will starting to tear up "Please don't get hurt. Please don't do anything stupid that results to something bad. If anything would of happened to you I would cry Will you know how much I care for you. "Lucas says crying. "I won't don't worry Lucas" the boys says with a sad face hating seeing his friend cry. He lets go of Will and says "You better tell me who the lucky boy will be if you start dating someone" Lucas says with a devious smirk. "Don't worry I will, you will be the first person I tell" Will says smiling at Lucas. "WILL WE HAVE TO GO NOW" Jonathan says. "Bye Will" Lucas says to the boy. "Lucas take care" the boy says walking away to the car with a frown. The boy gets in the car looking out the window seeing Lucas waving at him while tearing up.

Lucas tries to follow the car but it was to late they were gone from his sight. Lucas heads home and goes to his room sobbing that his best friend has left and won't be able to see him in a long time.

Will sees the sign that says 'Leaving Hawkins Come Again Soon' Will sheds a tear knowing he's leaving his friends his favorite times he spent with his friends at Hawkins. Even though he had traumatic and bad experience at Hawkins Indiana he still loved it their since he had his friends. But knowing that he was going to a different state he wouldn't know anybody and everything would be different. But on the other hand he's happy that Lucas accepted him. And that his friendship didn't end with Lucas.
