Overall, verbal bullying is more common, and more powerful than what a lot of people think. Peer pressure plays a role if you don't participate in certain things that another person or even group of people want you to. The effects are far more harsh than just hurt feelings, people have emotional trauma that can last temporarily, or permanently, in some extreme cases teenagers have ended their own lives. Trying to put an end to bullying is a struggle too, its more than just telling someone to stop.
