jungkook, having only been in the bts pack for a few months, is still new to pack life. It's understandable he doesn't know some things, like what a romp is.

"Seriously? You've never had a romp?
Jungkook shifts uncomfortably. "No...what is that?"
The expressions on his pack mates' faces tell him that apparently not knowing what a romp is, is highly unusual. Most of them try to tactfully hide their disbelief after a moment.
Except Taehyung. "You mean, not even with your old pa - " Jimin slaps his hand over Taehyung's mouth before Taehyung could finish shoving his foot metaphorically in his mouth.
It's a sensitive subject, after all. Everyone usually has two packs in their life: the one they were born into, then the one they choose as an adult. Everyone except Jungkook. Jungkook had been a packless outcast since toddlerhood, considered a disgrace by society, for as long as he could remember. Until a few months ago when Namjoon had found Jungkook breaking into their home, desperate for food, and graciously invited him to join the pack (with the consent of the others, of course).
Jungkook is immensely grateful to Namjoon and his five other pack mates. Every one of them is full of endless love to give Jungkook and each other, and Jungkook couldn't have ever imagined being happier. But his old, lonely life is something he doesn't like to think about, and his pack knows that.
And because he hadn't grown up in a pack, there's a lot Jungkook doesn't know about pack life, which his pack has been quite diligent to introduce him to.
A romp, is apparently one of those things.
Behind Jimin's hand, Taehyung's eyes widen as he realizes his slip. Jimin lets his hand lower cautiously, and Taehyung shifts on his feet. "Sorry, Kookie."
Jungkook smiles at him warmly. He can never get upset with any of his hyungs. He loves them too much.
"It's fine. But really, what is a romp?"
"Oh it's fantastic," Taehyung bursts out eagerly. Jimin eyes him warily, wondering if he's going to blurt something uncomfortable again. "You see, it's when everyone gets together during their heats and their alpha's rut and, y'know, fuck it out together."
Jungkook's eyes widen. "All together? At once?"
"Yeah," Hoseok joins the conversation with enthusiasm. "They're lots of fun, a great bonding experience, and a good way to figure out what you like and what helps best for heats or ruts."
"Is it really that great?" Jungkook's mouth twists in doubt. "Heats suck even if you have a partner. I can't imagine it's any different with more than one partner."
Even Yoongi smiles wistfully as he remembers romps he's partaken in before - both with his new pack and his old one. "Romps make it not suck though. Multiple partners mean lots of pheromones, which means your heat won't last as long or hurt as bad. And, unlike having one partner for your heat, you don't have to worry about exhausting your only relief 'cause there's always more."
