Take it all in

Hold it all within

That's what I'm told

And that's what they say

But I cannot fathom the purpose

Of such an activity lacking thereof

For perfection means nothing

Beauty has no meaning

Plain helps me not

For what can one say

In a world that, though in color,

Is as yet seen by me only in shades of

Deep blacks, blinding whites, bloody reds, greys?

Oh, you might mock me

For not seeing the light of uniquity

But I think I have the better way

Of seeing and describing

For only in base form

Can the larger portrait be seen

Only then can I be in detailed studied

So harp on me not

When I say that color has no point for me

For I still see that,

In my own eyes,

I make sense only

To me.

Take it all in
