To see the world through someone else's eyes. That had always been his greatest wish. To see how other people thought, how they felt, what life was like to them.

He had no way of doing so, of course--he knew that attempting such an endeavor, where none had gone before, could only end in an unfulfilled, empty life. Even so, he didn't want to give up on his dream. Not completely, at any rate.

So he waited. Life went on, the gears of thought turning in his mind. He was always thinking. He was never one to talk much. Topics of popularity, the social ladder, rumors--he ignored these. They couldn't offer him anything.

If he could think hard enough, maybe he didn't have to use words. If he could think hard enough, maybe others could receive his thoughts.

He could only hope...and wait.
