Jealous (Hurt, Comfort, and Fluff)

It had been a week since Coffee Bean Cookie AKA Bean was born and Walnut was feeling so bored with being watching her parents Almond and Rougefort focusing on her new baby brother and she sighed softly.

"Dad can we go do something later?" Walnut asked her dad later that day and saw the two talking and tugged on Almond's pants as he was talking to the very tired and frazzled Rougefort who hadn't slept well for a whole week.

"Maybe he's colicky cause he's got gas?" Almond whispered gently and he picked up the tiny baby and put him over his shoulder and patted his back as the baby wailed and hiccupped softly as he felt so miserable and fussy.

"I tried that and he's not colicky" Rougefort whispered softly and they rubbed the baby's back and Walnut sighed and looked very upset and annoyed at Bean's constant attention from her dad and walked away.

Later she walked to their bedroom as Rougefort showered and looked at the baby in his bassinet and frowned at him "Why did you have to be born? It was just fine with Rougefort here and now you are here!" she shouted.

This made the baby jump and whimper and looked startled by her shout and she glared harder at him and she suddenly raised her hand into the qir and without thinking smacked the baby hard making the baby wail hard.

"WALNUT COOKIE!!!!" Walnut jumped and slowly turned around and saw Rougefort there only in a towel and they looked very upset and quickly picked up the baby and rocked him on the bed trying to soothe him with a gentle voice.

"What is wrong with you? He's a baby and you have to be gentle with him!" They scolded the six year old and she lowered her head and looked at her feet and looked very upset about something as she blocked out their scolding.

"Walnut? Walnut!!! You apologize to Bean now!" Rougefort shouted and Walnut glared at them and smacked the baby again and ran away making Rougefort gasp in shock and Walnut ran into her room and slammed the door.

"What the?" Almond whispered and he saw Rougefort rub the baby's head and whisper loving words and sighed and walked to his daughter's door and knocked on it "Walnut can we talk?" He asked with a gentle voice.

"No go away" she sounded like she was crying and he looked very worried about he and sighed as he rubbed his temple and opened the door and saw Walnut squeezing her favorite walnut teddy bear named Junior Sleuth Ted.

"I said go away~" she said hiding her face into her bear and Almond sighed and sat on her bed and patted her head as she shook and sniffled softly and he heard her cry softly and he started to rub her back in a soothing way.

"Walnut what's wrong sweetie" he asked very gently and he only heard a soft muffled answer and he looked at little frustrated "Walnut please I can understand what you just-" "YOU LOVE BEAN MORE THEN ME!!!"

Walnut suddenly sat up and glared at Almond in tears and sobbed hard and Almond felt his heart break realizing why she was so upset and annoyed with Bean lately and he pulled her close to his heart and rubbed her back.

"Oh honey you know that's not true I love you both so much~" he cooed and Walnut only cried more and he soothed hee more "you'll always be special to me Walnut~ you were my very first baby~" he whispered softly and he rocked her.

"R-really?" Walnut asked as she looked at him and he smiled and noddedas he wiped her tear away and held her close as he suddenly heard a soft noise qnd carried Walnut to his and Rougefort's room and smiled at the sight.

Both he and Walnut saw him rocking the baby and smiled as they continued to sing to the fussy baby and then they put him in his bassinet and continued to sing as Almond held his daughter over it as she looked at the sleeping doughling.

This made Walnut tear up but smiled qs she leaned into the bassinet and kissed her new brother's head as he slept and he cooed softly and she smiled at him with a warm smile on her face and stroked his cheek and whispered softly.

"There now, little star sweeper
Dream on~"

This touched Almond's heart qnd he hugged his daughter and held her close and kissed her and gave her some well deserved attention from him and she smiled and hugged him back as Rougefort got up and went to her.

"I'm so sorry I-" they shushed her gently qnd took her into their arms and hugged her too and gave her some attention from them as well and she teared up and hugged them back and felt so much better too.

"You're forgiven and I love you so much and I hope you are feeling better" they cooed softly and they felt her nod and hugged them back and whispered softly and what she said would never leave their memory for a very long time.

"I am...I love you papa~" and with that they had no problems with Walnut and Bean...until they were eight and two but that was something for another time as the couple cuddled close together and Walnut smiled and felt loved as they enjoyed their moment together.
