Fly above the salt spray sea,
Feathers rust in ocean breeze.
Lift me up towards the sun,
Let wax melt and fall undone.Heartstrings snap and false hope dies,
Let me plunge and panic rise.
Lonely Icarus flew too high,
Hoped to catch his father's eyeNow he wonders what went wrong -
Father loved him all along -
Attention seeking all went wrong,
Of course he's noticed now he's gone.
