The sound of birds chirping outside of the window woke me up exactly 4 minutes before my alarm. I turned around just to see a few nightingales eating seeds from the birdhouse. IT'S TODAY! I can't remember the last time I woke up so eagerly. I put on my unicorn flip-flops and went to the kitchen, wanting to make a coffee and cereal. As I was eating, my phone rang. It was a message from Agnieszka reminding me to pack sunscreen and my camera. This day couldn't be any better.

As soon as I replied that I had already packed everything, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and prepare for the road. My GPS showed me about a 10-hour ride from Łódź, so we had better hurry with everything. A quick glare at the clock told me Aga should be here in less than half an hour. I pulled on my cosy driving outfit and left to check the car for the last time.

"RÓŻA!", oh here comes Aga. "Thank God I'm on time, my tram was delayed. Okay, do you have everything? Your camera? Towels? Spare underwear?"

"Yes, yes and yes. Can we go now? There's huge traffic in Wien and I want to stop at McDonald's at least once."

"Yeah all right, all right. Let me just pack my suitcase for your child and we can leave."

Aga opened the trunk and placed her poison green suitcase. She said the colour helps her scare off potential pickpocketers, but for me, it scares dogs at best. She sat next to me in front and we slowly rolled out of my parking lot. We agreed to switch the driving position every three hours, so we won't get tired too soon. As I heard my favourite song on the radio, I louden the music and we both yelled at the top of our lungs.

"JESTEŚ SEEEEREM BIAŁYM ŻOŁNIEEERZEM NOSISZ SPOOOODNIE WIĘC WAAALCZ!!!"

I still couldn't believe how lucky I am. I've been watching ski jumping since I was a little child, always at my grandma's house on Sundays while eating rosół. This was always my dream and I am making it come true. Moreover, I am getting paid for it! Who would have thought this small portal called Skoczna Łódź will offer me the job after I won a local photography competition? I remember taking photos of my little brother on the hill in Szczyrk for the first time with a professional camera... and here I am now, going to Slovenia to be a full-time photographer at Planica competitions. Next to me, Aga took out her laptop as she began updating her status and writing a short post for the blog. This is going to be the best March weekend in history!
