summery: how louis and harry meet for the first time.

enjoy :)

~

Louis didn't exactly know where he was going with this, but he did know that he had to get away from his home town. It caused him way to much unnecessary pain to stay any longer, so he worked a shitty job at a local bar for about a month, gathering the right amount of money for a train ticket and food to last him hopefully for the next few weeks.

Louis had held himself together this past month, but the second he sat down to a window seat on the train, music blaring through his one-working earphone whilst it was raining outside made him bite his lip and take deep breaths to compose himself.

He thought back to what his life would've been like if he hadn't done what he did, things would be so much different, he would have shelter, money, food, a family.

He thought his mom was his best friend, and that his dad was someone he could look up to, he thought they would support him for being what he is, but they didn't, and the events that followed from that were all his fault and he knew it.

Louis couldn't hold it in anymore and he turned his head completely to look at the window and to avoid contact with other passengers as he silently let the tears flow down his cheeks.

When Louis got to the train station he took out his phone to use the free wifi so he could check for the exact place he was going, he got a job at a cafe, which he appreciated as it would be a lot quieter than the bar and definitely less unwanted human contact.

Louis searched the name of the cafe before clicking on directions. Approximately 40 minutes walking distance, but at this rate with Louis' small bag filled with the small things he has left and considering he didn't start work until tomorrow made him persistent to not waste any money on a taxi and to just walk since he could look for safe places to sleep on his way.

Glancing down at his phone he memorised the coming up turns so he could switch his phone off to save the battery, and he started walking.

The first few weeks were always the hardest, adjusting to the lifestyle of working, finding a safe place to sleep, buying food that wasn't too expensive was definitely something Louis was having trouble getting stuck into his mind, but as the days past it became a routine that he was now used to.

Louis was on his way to work and when he arrived he threw his bag of belongings into the back room, then made his way out towards the seating area. He quiet enjoyed the mornings of being here, not many people around but no so little that he would just be sitting around bored with no one to serve, it seemed perfect to him.

That particular morning he had an extra long shift to increase his pay for the week, he gladly accepted the offer the second it was given to him. He knew it would be a long day, but in his mind it was so going to be worth the money.

Now, Louis wasn't entirely wrong about how it was a great idea to work that shift, but he certainly didn't think of the aftermath. He was walking presumably to the same spot he stayed last night, but he didn't know as it was pitch black, he held one arm out, fingers brushing the tough wall so he had an idea on where he was heading, when the wall came to a stop, he turned along with it and walked down a little so he was out of sight.

He pressed his back against the wall, sitting down and curled himself into a ball with his bag tucked between his chest and knees, shivering from the cold and he drifted into a restless sleep.
