The Way You Loved Me

High School

*Sarah's POV*

Summer was over. High school starts tomorrow. This summer was.... Crazy. I haven't gotten over Ethan, but he is clearly over me. I think. I hate him for everything he has done, but I loved how he treated me when we were together.

He's dating Emma now, which hurts the most. Its a pain comparable to the death of my parents. Me Grayson, Victoria and all her other friends are close now. I hear my phone ring and see it was Ethan calling me.

He called me multiple times everyday, but i never pick up. He claims that he cares and still loves me, but then why is he dating Emma?

I pick out a black skirt, a floral shirt and a pair of white converse to wear tomorrow. I'm going to be a freshman. And I will probably be hated my everyone older than me, but I couldn't care less.

I went to bed and I got a text from Grayson.

Hey Sarah, want to walk to school tomorrow with me and Victoria?

To: Grayyy

Sure! See you tomorrow, goodnight (:

I set my phone down and fall asleep.

*the next morning*

I wake up to the horrendous sound of my alarm. It was my first day in highschool, and I was so not ready. I throw on my outfit, curl my hair, and put on some earnings and bracelets then eat some breakfast. My Aunt and Uncle are pretty much never home anymore so I have learned to take care of myself now.

I grab my backpack and head out the door. I see Grayson and Victoria already waiting at the bottom of my driveway.

"Hey Sarah! Excited??!!" Victoria asks looking super happy, and pretty.

"Uh... Yeah," I say, even though I wasn't. I have been depressed for such and long time and continue self harm, even though I know its not right. But there isn't any other way to get my mind off... Things.

"What's your schedule?" Grayson asks me.

"Study hall, Language arts, math, lunch, science, history, choir then gym." I tell him, and he looks at me worriedly.

"What? You can tell me, I'm over things now," I say, even though I wasn't.

"You have every class with Ethan. But we have study hall, science, history and gym together!" He says, trying to make it sound better.

"Oh... Whatever. And yayyy! How about you Victoria?" I ask, trying to sound happy.

"I have the same first three periods and choir with you!!!" She said.

This can't be too bad I guess...

I walk into school and find my locker. Wow. Its right in between Ethan and Emma. Was this planned or something??

I walk up to my locker and Emma shoots me an evil smile then says, "I'd watch your back if I were you." Then she walks away.

I open my locker and I see Ethan just standing next to me at his locker. I can tell he was looking at me, but I just ignored.

Right when I was about to leave he spoke up. "Sarah, can I please talk to you?" He asked in an innocent tone.

"No Ethan, I have to get to class." I say without making any eye contact. He grabs my hand.
