(this is in london!!! michael & his friends r still aussies but they live in london ok ok & they're not in a band yet + if there isn't a train involved in a fanfic it's not a fanfic amirite ladies n gents)

"Please mind the gap between the train and the platform." I mimicked along with the intercom.

"Someone's having a rough day." Michael laughed.

"I have loads to do this weekend," I huffed out, "I have a science exam and I have to report that concert Saturday."

"My two friends know her, it's gonna be sick!" He said. I gave him a dirty look followed by an eye roll, my classic response.

We walked towards Mike's house, where his bandmates would be. That's all he's into now, even though the beginning of our freshman year, Michael begged me to sign up for the school newspaper. He insisted my writing would "inspire the youth" yet no one even reads the paper. And with his promise of following through all four years, he bailed.

"Don't make me feel bad. This whole band thing is really working out, Bella. You know that!" He said punching my arm. We approached his house and I attempted to slip away, hoping to go home and study, which Michael stopped.

"Stop being a burnout." Michael laughed, "My mates are inside, we can study with them!" Like that'll happen.

We greeted his mom at the table and went downstairs, where his mom said his mates were.

"Sup guys." Michael said giving the boys a 'bro nod'. They all started talking about music until one of them, Calum I think, asked who I was.

"Oh, this is Arabella! Bella, that's Luke and that's Calum." Michael pointed out.

"Hi." They said in unison. The guys started practicing and talking about songs, whilst I sat down on the couch and pulled out my notebook.
