Alicia
The blood on my hand began to dry as the cold december air filled my lung with fear. The blood didn't belong to me, it never will. As I stared at my hands Clouds of doubt started lingering my mind. Did I really did it ? As I looked at my side, I saw the car running towards me and......
I opened my eyes and gasped for air. I checked the time, shit. I missed my lecture again. I hurried my way to college and I was sure that I'm doomed. I called Shaun, "Hey babe! Can u pick me up ?...Yea I woke up late...no I didn't had anything...chocolate milkshake would be good..but hurry ok? ..yea love you too." I was scrolling through my phone again and a message popped. 'Group meet up at 7. Not asking just informing ;)' I smiled as read. It was from Sera, honestly these weekly group meetups are the only thing that is keeping me sane (and chocolate milkshake with choco-chip muffins ). "What are you smiling at doll?" I heard Shaun saying. I rushed towards the car mouthing him a thank you. As we drove through the traffic I was feasting on my breakfast. "So, you are coming for the meet up today ,right? I know you are already stressed with the assignments, it's ok if you don't wanna come" he said, eyes still on the road. "I will come, for sure!" I beamed a smile.
Browsing through my closet ,I ran out of options. A girl's nightmare. I know it's just friends meetup but this inner urge to always look good had me on the edge. I glanced at my phone, 6:15 looked so vibrant on that small screen, felt like it was taunting me. I gave up and wore the sweatshirt lying around with some light jewellery to top up the outfit. I already texted Shaun to pick me up, he must be on his way. It's not like I don't know how to drive, it's just I get scared that I might hurt someone; better to be passenger princess rather than to put someone in loss. I ran downstairs as heard the horn. There he was, my boyfriend Shaun, I don't know what magic he consumes to looked so good in basic outfit. White plain shirt, rolled up sleeves, blue jeans, sneakers and hair fully back done. I looked at him with an awe. "Someone's looking too nice for a group meetup! Do have another plans afterwards, Mr.Shaun Adams?" I playfully asked. He just smiled and hugged me. "Depends on what you wanna do , Ms.Alicia Tyler." I could just melt in those forehead kisses. Our sweet moment was interrupted with a call. It was Bonnie. "Thank God you picked up the call! I was gonna storm to your house cause no way you gonna spend your saturday holed up in your house doing freaking assignments. Where Tf are you?" I sighed and decided to answer her, "I know it's saturday night but the assignments and projects are piled up and you do know I am already behind schedule..." I winked towards Shaun. We were on the way right now but a small surprise won't hurt.
"Heyy, I thought you couldn't make it ! I'm so glad you could and by the way, I wanted to ask something." Sera spoke with concern. I know what she's gonna say but I don't mind now , I'm over it. I nodded. "How are you holding up ? It's alright, you know right that failure is a part of success and you have all of us supporting you ok? " A small smile ghosted my lips as I nodded and joined the rest of them. "Someone decided to join instead of being a whiny kid!" Bonnie smiled widely, she hugged me and whispered," Go save your man. He's looks like a lost puppy sitting beside Katherine, honestly I don't trust her. You know what I mean right ?" I glanced at Shaun who looked bored as Kat rambled about some nonsense. Katherine, Sera, Bonnie and me were friends since high school. We promised each other to meet up weekly and keep each other updated with everything . Bonnie wasn't close to Kat and Sera but she was the best friend anyone could have. About Shaun, I've known him since middle school but he confessed 2 months back, honestly he is the sweetest guy I've dated so far. Most of the guys I dated were either walking red flag or dumbest one could be. Just like that one guy whom I liked genuinely without hesitation but... Someone nuged my arm to bring me back to reality. Shaun mouthed a concernful 'You fine?'. I gave him a thumbs up and joined the rest of them as they were singing songs.
