Ch 24: the hero is back
Naruto and Temari appeared in front of the gates of Konoha. The 2 saw the 2 Eternal Gate Guards: Izumo and Kotetsu and they are just sleeping while on duty.
Naruto immediately made the 2 petix guards aware of their presence and intention. He also made Temari register her name so she can enter Konoha.
A/N: petix: is a tagalog word slang. Means: doing nothing or just relaxing.
They are walking in the streets of Konoha and are going to meet with the Hokage, Sasuke. Naruto was surprised that they didnt ran into any of the Konoha 12(out neji, in sai).
He may have been betrayed and his dream was crushed by his own godmother, but he cant deny that he still miss Konoha. This is his home village after all, and he cant deny that he found it comfortable to be here than in any villages.
The people in the streets who recognize the blond wave and smile to him, they also walk and surround the 2 greeting them.
"The Hero is back!", they said.
The people celebrated his returned and some vendors ran to give Naruto some of the things they are selling. Teenage girls are more forward, as they fearlessly lock their hands to his arms while some are hugging him.
Naruto: (fangirls are really scary! No wonder sasuke dobt have a soft spot for them.)
Seeing his misfortune in the hands of the aggresive fangirls, Temari just giggled.
<Location: Hokage Tower>
Naruto and Temari knock the door and entered after getting permission. In the office, team 7 to team 10 plus their sensei's greet them together with: Tsunade, Shizune, Iruka, Konohamaru Corps and the Clan Heads, making the office more cramp than usual.
Konoha 12/Sensei's: welcome back, Naruto. And welcone to Konoha, Temari-san!
Naruto: yo, long time no see, everyone.
Temari(bow): thanks for having me.
Iruka: youve grown, Naruto. Youre taller than me now. Looks like youre eating a healthy diet while you were away.
Tsunade: how was your travel, gaki? We heard that you visit Uzushiogakure?
Konohamaru: Naruto nii-chan, did you learn a new jutsu? Teach it to us to us too-kure!
Temari is giggling as Naruto was bombarded with questions by his friends, but he was patiently answering their questions. She didnt noticed that Shikamaru is staring at her, observing her.
Shikamaru: (she didnt greet me yet or did she even noticed me?)
After satisfying them with his answers, Naruto found Hinata in the corner of the room. He went to her and saw Hinata giving him a warm smile and hug him.
Hinata(smile): welcome back, Naruto-kun. I miss you.
Naruto: im back, Hinata and i miss you too.
The 2 hug each other and kiss and the others feel their love filling the room, they smiled. Shika look at Temari and saw her pouting and glaring at the hyuuga.
Shikamaru(gulp): (she dont love me anymore, sigh. While its a pity, i pity you more, Naruto. Goodluck facing and pacifying a jealous womans anger. How troublesome.)
