Long Long ago, in a land hidden from humans such as ourselves, was a kingdom. A kingdom called Thera.
Thera, The kingdom of dreams and home to all who might wonder and seek shelter. From the outside, Thera might just seem like a normal village but Thera was so much more than just a village. Thera was full of magic, and mystical creatures like dragons, fairies, and dwarves but most of all, Thera was home to the elves.
"Mother! When can we go practice my magic?" Athena asked with her big green doll-like eyes.
"Oh Athena, you aren't old enough to practice magic, now run along and play with the other children." Her mother replied sweetly trying not to hurt the young princess's feelings.
Young Athena walked away in despair. "If she won't teach me magic, I shall go learn it myself!" Athena thought while stomping her way over to the closest stable and began waving around her hands the same way she saw her mother move them. Soon a spark of fire flickered on the tips of her fingers. "Woahhhhhh!" she said as her mouth dropped with amazement.
She tried again and this time it wasn't a flicker it was an actual fire. She kept on trying hoping maybe she could throw a fireball. She accidentally let go of the fire in her hands and soon the whole stable was in flames. From a whole block away you could hear the horses whinnying in fear. Poor Athena couldn't figure out how to get rid of the flames. She had never seen her mother mess up so she didn't know how to put it out.
Instead of using magic, she decided to find a corner to sit in and scream hoping one of the elven guards will hear her. But after a few screams, she couldn't scream any longer, the smoke was just too thick that she could barely breathe.
Thankfully someone saw the flames. All of a sudden the flames just disappeared and a boy a bit older than her ran in to come to save her. "It's gonna be alright," He said, pecking a kiss on her forehead while scooping her up bridal style. He brought her to his father. They rushingly rode to the castle which she was passed out the whole time.
He picked her up from the horse's back and walked her to the guards who immediately snatched her from the boy's hands and frantically rushed to the King and Queen.
"Athena!" They cried whilst putting their ear to her chest to see if she was breathing. We of course know she is but they don't.
The queen snapped her fingers and Athena peacefully awoke.
"Where- Where am I?" The young Athena asked sitting up.
"Your safe sweetheart, you were in a fire. You don't remember?" The king's eyebrows furrowed wondering if she was being truthful.
"Sweetie, were you using your magic?" The queen questioned, using her 'stern voice'.
"Yes mum, I'm sorry! I won't do it again!"
"Honey, I can't trust you now. From now on, until I know I can trust you, there shall be one of the royal guards to follow you everywhere you go."
"MUM, NO!! PLEASE!"
