Okay for a little bit of context, eddie has liked steve since they were in middle school. Eddie is older he got held back in seventh, so he's 19 Steve's 18. This is when they were still in school ig cus why not. This chapter is like kinda fluff kinda barley lemon at the end. So yeah hope you like this chapter.

3rd person

It was the middle of the night, steve laid in his bed fully awake. It's around 2am at this point, and he still couldn't manage to fall asleep. Steve stirs around in his bed for a little longer, and finally decided to get out of bed. He let's out a low sigh throwing his sheets off, and gets out of bed making his way over too his closet. He grabs a brown zipup hoodie, and a pair of light blue jeans that were a little too baggy for him, but he didn't mind. He was already wearing a green shirt, so he didn't bother grabbing a shirt. He put on his clothes then makes his way to the front door. He threw on his black converse, and left his house. He didn't bother to stay quiet, since no one was ever home. He got into his car, and started driving to god knows where, he just needed to get out of that house.

It was a cold autumn night, Around 3:50am. eddie was making his way over to his favorite smoking spot, skull rock.he just needed a break from everything, so his plan was to get high as fuck. He had The worst week, jason and his ass whole friends jumped him. Jason heard a rumor about him, and chrissy hooking up. which is obviously fake since she was just buying drugs, but jason didn't believe eddie when he told him. He ended up with a black eye, multiple bruises on his abdomen, and face before a teacher stopped the 'fight'. He was still in pain, so he's just planning on getting high, and chilling. Eddie finally got to his location, he just needs to do a little hike threw the woods, and he'll be at skull rock. It's a short hike maybe just a quarter of a mile, and he'd be there.

Eddie finally gets there, and unfortunately someones already here. There's four or five empty beer cans, and a slightly drunk steve (the hair) harrington. Eddie checks his watch 4:29 am. "Hey st- harington, are you good? Why you out so late?" He says making his way over to the brunette. He just glares at eddie in response. "Okay... " eddie says dragging the word. "I couldn't sleep." Steve says shifting his body to look at eddie. Eddie looks down to his feet. He's never really felt so nervous around guys, but steve is different. He's had a crush on him since middle school, but like so does everyone else in Hawkins. He looks back to the other boy, who appears to be getting up to leave. "Sorry I'll leave, I didn't mean to be in your way." steve says kinda stumbling back a bit. 'Fuck' eddie thinks to himself, he didn't want steve to leave. this might be his only chance to talk to the guy.

"Do you smoke?" Eddie says pulling out two joints, with his signature smirk. About 20 minutes later they're both pretty high. Both of the boys laying in the ground staring at the sky. "Wait so your telling me jason jumped you, because he thinks chrissy fucked you?" Steve saying laughing a bit. "How is that funny harrington" eddie whines grabbing he chest dramatically, as if he were stabbed. "Its just.. you and chrissy wow, how low does he think of her." He laughs "HEyyY! what's that supposed to mean" eddie sits up and turns to the brunette, who at this point is giggling uncontrollably. 'he's so cute' eddie thinks to himself. Both of them are now sitting there silently, eddie looking at steve in awe, and steve looking at the the sky. the only noises are birds chirping, and their breathing. Steve turns his head over to looks at eddie, "the sunrise is really pretty." Steve said smiling "not as pretty as you" eddie says with a wink, and a stupid grin on his face.

Steve bursts out into laughter. "And jason thought you could pull chrissy" steve says practically wheezing "Aw cmon man, it wasn't that bad" "it really was tho" they're both historically laughing at each others stupidity. after about 10 minutes steve finally calms down. "You know, for a guy whose popular, rich, and friends with tommy. You're actually pretty cool." Steve looks over to him with a weird stare. "No don't get me wrong, it's just you know most guys like you are total douchebags, and somehow you're not. Like your totally disobeying the laws of physics." Eddie says sitting up, and giggling slightly. Steve glares "and you're not a total weirdo like everyone says." Steve says sitting up too. They're faces were about 5 inches apart. "Thanks king stevie" eddie says leaning in, now leaving only 4 inches of space. "Anytime freak" steve leans in leaving 3 inches of space.

They sit like this for about a minute before steve gets up, and checks his watch. 5:55am "Gotta go I have a shift in 20 minutes, cya late freak." Steve continues to walk away "Bye stevie" he waves, and with that steve was gone. Eddie leans back to his laying down position, trying not to squeal.
