Chapter 5 ~ Hogsmead

The Great hall

I walk into the great hall for breakfast, everyone turns to look at me giggling and whispering I wonder why and send them glares that shut them up.

I was tired and it was noticeable too.

I walked over to the Slytherin table and spotted the girls, I sat beside Emery with Pansy across from me.

"Oh hey Aria-" Emery starts.

"Where were you last night you weren't in our dorm", I question taking a bite from an apple I picked up.

"Oh I'm so sorry Aria, I spent the night at Theo's you weren't waiting for me to come back were you?"

What did she just say! She spent the night at Theo's? I was shocked and annoyed but it's not like he was my boyfriend and I don't deserve Theo anyway so I can't be mad about it.

"Oh ok so are yous like a, thing?" I ask her.

Emery laughs pushing my shoulder playfully, "no of course not we're just friends he's like a brother to me, I fell asleep in the common room and he brought me to his dorm room so he wouldn't have to be questioned by uh, you".

I furrow my eyebrows.

"Well I mean things are probably a bit awkward between you two" Emery says rubbing my back.

"I understand Em it's alright, I have no right to be mad at either of you". I say with a small smile.

"Thanks for understanding Aria you know I love you" she says hugging me as she stands up.

"We should get to class, don't we all have potions together?" Emery says.

Pansy and I agree and head to potions.

We were just on time and Snape begins the class as we sat down, I sat across from Emery and Pansy.

Daphne walked in soon after us and looks at me confused.

"What's wrong" I ask her.

"Isn't this my seat, I thought you sat at the back?" Daphne says looking over at Snape.

"We don't have assigned seats though so I'm pretty sure I can sit wherever I want" I say back not meaning to sound rude.

"Miss Black your seat is at the back of the room, is it not yesterday i assigned your seats" Snape coldly says to me.

I wasn't paying attention yesterday no wonder I didn't know, great.

I huff and apologise to Daphne I'm not too sure if I like her a whole lot.

I walk to the back of the class where I'm sat beside Mattheo, luckily he wasn't in class today so I didn't have to face him after last night.

I listened to Snape as he went on blabbering.

"So who would like to tell me what this potion is called" Snape asks as a girl with frizzy brown hair puts her hand up.

"Yes miss Granger"

"Amortenia, it's the most powerful love potion in the world, it's said to smell different to each person depending on what they're attracted to". The brown haired girl answered.

"Well done Miss Granger, ten points to Gryffindor". Snape says unamused.

I wonder what I would smell I mean I don't know who or what I'm attracted to.

"We will be learning about these potions next week, class dismissed" Snape hissed.

Emery, Pansy, Daphne and I walked out together, Pansy was saying how we should go to Hogsmead later, we all agreed I wasn't sure what it was though.
