I was walking down the streets in my neighbourhood

I was walking down the streets in my neighbourhood. It was still quite dark outside since it was early in the morning. I had woken up too soon so I decided to go for a walk.

I checked the time on my phone
„05:16", I mumbled. So there's still about an hour left before the train to school would come.

I kept walking around while listening to music. Occasionally looking at the houses. I stopped to take a look at one house specifically though. It was a new built luxurious house with large windows and a nice car in front of it. The house was all white. I wondered why they built that here in this small village where I live. It really stood out since all other building were so damn old, including my house.

I kept examining the building until suddenly I saw lights go on. I was about to get going again when I noticed a small figure hidden behind the curtains I was only able to see his shadow.

Wait don't I know that figure?, I thought to myself.

The figure in the window then opened the curtains to take a look outside. It turned out to be Levi who was living there.

What? Why does it have to be one of my classmates, this is so awkward, I facepalmed myself.

He gave me a confused look before backing away from the window.

After that I quickly walked away, face red, feeling embarrassed.

I hope he doesn't mention it later in school or something.

Why was he awake that early anyways?
Well then again I was the one outside his house at 5:30.
..

Later before school I hung out with Violet, I told her about what happened earlier this morning.

„you sure it was him", she asked immediately.

„of course I am. I wish it wasn't him. It's so weird he's been in our class since yesterday he probably already thinks I'm some sort of creep.", I replied.

„Maybe you should go talk to him and explain yourself", Madi suggested.

„Yeah sure. You think he'd believe me? Who takes a walk at 5 am?", I answered unimpressed.

„Speak of the devil", she then said.

I turned around to see Levi walking in our direction.

„Just talk to him", Madi whispered.

I gathered all of my courage and approached him.

„Hey can we talk for a second? About this morning-„

„Don't talk to me", was all he said

Excuse me?, I watched with wide eyes as he walked straight past me

Yesterday he seemed to be an OK guy. Sure he wasn't exactly having the most friendly expression but at least he wasn't rude.

„Wow, didn't expect him to be such a dick", Madi said after he was gone.

I sighed: „Let's just get inside too. Schools about to start"
..

Today was like hell. Having to sit in the same room with him for six hours straight was just a pain. I didn't dare look at him.

I just wanna go home and sink my head into my pillow, I thought to myself as I layed my head into my arms.

„(Y/N), could you do me a favour and get some more books from the library please?", the teacher asked me gently with her soft voice.

„Uh, sure", I replied and stood up to leave the room.

„Oh wait , they might be too heavy for you alone", she added. „Levi, why don't you go help her out quickly?",

You have got to be kidding me.

He stood up and followed me to the library silently. It felt like we were walking for ages.
..

„listen I'm just not good with people okay? Nothing personal, kid", he finally spoke.

„Oh I already noticed. And also aren't we like the same age? Don't call me a Kid", I answered annoyed.

„Tch", - Levi
..

Once we arrived at the library the books were already on the table split up into two piles.
Both of us grabbed a pile of books and headed out.  Unfortunately I stumbled over one on the floor which made me drop a few books.

„aw shit ", I cursed

I heard him sigh in front of me
I was about to pick them up when suddenly he went down to pick them up first. He gently put the books back on my pile.
„Idiot", he then turned around and we finally headed back to class.

„oi who are you calling an idiot? It's not my fault that someone left that book on the floor", I complained

Levi seemed to be completely unbothered by that. All he said was „just shut up and don't ‚Oi' me again"

I pouted and just continued on carrying the damn books.
