Young Afton

Afton went to a prestigious all boys boarding school just outside of London, England. He was top in his school, grades, riches, looks, he had it all. But he's was one messed up kid. He witnessed domestic abuse and was the victim of such abuse on multiple occasions. He lost his virginity to unwanted sex at fifteen and delved into alcohol and drugs and unruly behavior. He was basically uncontrollable.

He drove a sleek, black Porsche and literally fucking raced everywhere in it. He was a hella good driver, but he would sometimes take too many happy pills or occasionally adderall and drink while driving. He had no sense of self preservation.

His roommate/bf was Nikolaus (Klaus, as he liked to be called), and they were kind of an unstoppable duo. Klaus was some rich boy from Germany with blonde hair and green eyes and a thin physique. He went everywhere with Afton but they weren't exactly good for each other. They loved each other, but they fed into each other's nasty habits.

Afton liked having a male partner because his father would always call him the f-word and beat him for it, so actually doing gay acts made Afton feel a sense of defiance.

The boys of this school had to go to church every Sunday and Afton would occasionally play in the orchestra or sing in the choir. He was incredibly musically talented, but he didn't really find much joy in it.

Afton had major self image issues and had to be consoled sometimes by saying that "yes, everyone likes you and you're wonderful."

In his teens, Afton looked like he was a character from a Tim Burton movie, skinny and sleep deprived. He was a very skinny boy, sunken face and everything, but at a distance, every kid at that school looked like that.

Afton's mother loved him, though so that's chill. It made it hurt even more when Afton was helpless to watch his father beat her. If he was ever caught watching his mother get beat, his father would turn on him and he would get the same treatment.

To add the family trauma, Afton's mother and father were arranged. Afton's mother had him when she was 17 and his father was 24... major issues.

Afton liked to drive at night with the music turned up. He would drive closer to his house and away from the city where it was dark and there were crickets and other things. Afton's mansion was out in the moor, so there wasn't much around except for an occasional town.

Klaus would go with him and they would usually drink and listen to Michael Bublé or other related things.

The school demanded that the boys all need some sort of job for "real world experience" so he and Klaus ended up getting a job at an icecream shop with a very scary manager who liked to call them smart a lot. She was very insistent on that fact.

He had this coworker and she was a total whore looking for attention and made Afton hella uncomfortable. And he hated her.

So yeah. Basically Afton would have done well with some intense psychotherapy, but he never received that and he also never received a childhood, which is why he is the way he is.
