The lights went out.

Paper woke up, he decided to go into the kitchen for a midnight snack

"What the- what is?..."

He sighed

"Well then, that hasn't happened in awhile.." he mumbled to himself

He walked into the darkness of the hall, it was eerily quiet, he couldn't hear the loud snoring of trophy when he managed to get some sleep, nor could he hear tissues sleep-sneezing

His mind began to panic

"Why is there no noise? What if they're all gone? What if they left and forgot to wake me? What if-"

He had made it to the basement

He felt a chill down his spine when he saw that door

He had always hated the basement

The creaks and groans

The eternal darkness, even during the day

The cobwebs and spiders

No one ever went in the basement unless it was occasions like these

It scared everyone, though most wouldn't admit it.

He slowly creaked the door open, peering into the pure darkness ahead

"..crap... I can't see a thing in there.."

He sighed, creeping into the darkness and going down the steps carefully, careful to avoid any cobwebs

He got an almost instant rush of dread.
