THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL SEEMED to fly past pretty quickly, Faye had been in her head all day, she would be focused if any of the boys were talking to her; she'd been like this after Susan dropped her off at her own house instead of taking her to Ali's. After everything the blonde had said it really made Faye need a little time to herself. This new information about the boys couldn't just be ignored, but she didn't know how to bring it up, and they – the boys – knew something was wrong. They had their own suspicions when Tommy had claimed she'd gotten all her math answers wrong; now that, that just proved that something was going on with her.
They were a little hurt when she'd sat at lunch with the girls, and were so confused when she would just hum and nod at what they were asking or talking about. She was stuck in her head all day and you could tell when her eyes would only focus on whatever was in front of her. Jimmy had pointed out that the three girls she hangs around with even looked concerned and worried for their friend. Bobby had asked Susan during her cheer practice and the dark haired girl was telling him half a lie and he knew that.
But at this moment, Faye was at her locker, grabbing her folders and note books into her arms. She stuffed her bag into the locker before trying to shut it, she wobbled slightly and began to think that she took too many, she almost dropped some if it weren't for someone giving her a hand. She looks up and saw Bobby, he was taking some of her books and looked down at her with a smile.
Faye was snapped out of her thoughts when the boy seemed to have been talking to her. She licked her lip and blinked a couple of times, "oh, hi Bobby." She says watching him organise her books while his folders were under his left arm.
"Hey, Faye." He says with a smile, "how are you doing?"
She gave him a fake smile, "I'm doing good. How about you?"
Bobby knew that the smile was fake, her blue eyes didn't twinkle like they usually did whenever she was happy or smiley. "I'm alright, just really tired." He says glancing at her locking her locker, she turns back to him and both of them walk to their next class.
"I know how you feel," she sighs. "I've been locked up in my thoughts since last night." This makes Bobby turn to her, he notices her eyes fluttering to keep herself awake. "Don't worry though, like I said; I'm fine."
Their eyes connect and she sees him staring at her with concern, "is it about that night at the arcade?" He questions, she thought to herself, she didn't want to tell him the truth, she wasn't sure how exactly. How could she tell him what Ali told her, in fact how could she tell any of them. She feels bad, she does, but she nods her head and looks away, Faye knew they could always detect that she was lying and she felt so bad for lying, but it could get him away from questioning her any longer.
