I'm awoken by my mother as she shakes me awake and tells me to get up. I groaned while flipping over in my bed. "Come on, Y/N! It's your first day at school! You have to get up. I have your clothes laid on the dresser. Get dressed, now!" Mom slams my bedroom door closed while I groan and sit up.
I roll my eyes and mutter curses under my breath as I get ready. Once I am finished, I head down stairs and walk into the kitchen. Mother placed a piece of toast in my hand motioned me over to the door. I looked at her confused. "No big breakfast?" I asked, sadly.
Mom rolled her eyes and glared at me angrily. "You're almost late. Go." I rolled my eyes while sticking the toast in my mouth. I heard her yell an I love you while I only hummed. My mom can be a real bitch sometimes, but I just ignore her. She can switch personalities in a second.
One second she's a nice fluffy cat that's being all sweet and nice, then, she a blood thirsty bob cat, clawing your insides out. Vivid, I know, but I just wanted you to know that she's the worst. My dad just sleeps in all day and drinks. I think that's why mom is like that though. She has enough to deal with from him so I try not to bother her too much.
We also just moved here from America. Exciting! Note the sarcasm. I had a couple close friends over in the states, but I'm pretty sure they didn't like me. They never invited me out with them, and they always ignored my presence. One of the reasons I have trust issues.
They also only talked to me because my mom has a little money, and I was the therapist friend. It sucked. Back to my present situation. I finished eating the toast and I wiped the crumbs off my lips while looking up at the slightly big school. We all had to wear uniforms, which was a total buzz kill. I rolled my eyes as I heard everyone's thoughts cloud my mind.
'Who is that?'
'Are we getting another new student?'
'She's hot.'
'Did Dark Reunion send her?!'
'Crap! I forgot my lunch at home!'
'Who is she, and why is she stealing all the attention away from me?!'
Different things like that. It's all so annoying. I wish I could be normal. I groaned internally as I watch a light brown headed girl approaching me. I wish I was invisible. "Hi, I'm Chiyo Yumehara! You must be the new girl everyone is talking about." She said with a smile on her face.
I nodded while putting on a fake smile. "Yup. That's me. It's nice to meet you, Yumehara. I'm Y/N Yamada." I bow. "If you don't mind me asking, can I see your schedule?" Yumehara asked. I nodded and gave her the piece of paper.
She skimmed over it and her face caught a smile. "We have the same classes! Here, let me show to our home room." I nodded again and followed behind her quietly. I observed the classrooms around me and the people in them. Not certain ones, but ones that were just weird looking or cool looking. I snap my fingers, causing everyone and everything to stop and freeze.
Everything stays like this for only two minutes. I coughed into my arm and spit on some green haired kid's shoes. I clap my hands and everything starts moving again. Yumehara and I arrived to the classroom. She opened the door and the teacher called her name angrily. "Yumehara, why are you late?" Teach asks.
Yumehara panics. "I-I'm sorry, miss! I was just showing the new student to class!" She motioned to me. My eyes widened as I quickly nodded. Why would she put me on the spot like that?!
The teacher's face softened as she rolled her eyes. "Fine. Take a seat, and you, new student, please come up and introduce yourself." I mumbled an alright.
I walked up to the chalk board and started to introduce myself. "Hello. I'm Yamada Y/N. I moved here from America. Uhm, please take care of me." I bowed as I walked over to an empty seat. I could hear everyone's thoughts pile up in my head, but I couldn't hear this one dude's thoughts.
He looked kinda like a gorilla. Halfway through the lecture, I could feel someone's eyes on me. I turned my head to the right and noticed a boy with pink hair, green glasses, and antennas glaring at me. I glared back before turning
to the teacher.✩
School finally ended and I had made some friends. I walked out of the school doors and grabbed a chocolate bar from my pocket. Yes, I carry chocolate around with me. Don't judge me. I could suddenly feel someone's presence walking behind me. I turned my head, but didn't see anything. I grumbled to myself as I snapped my fingers.
I turned around and saw that strawberry freak following me. I walked up in front of him and clapped while putting a hand to his chest. When everything started moving again he was stopped by my hand. He looked down to me with wide eyes. "Why are you following me?" I asked, angrily, as I crossed my arms.
He was suddenly gone in a second. My eyes widened. 'Did he just teleport?' I thought. I quickly ran home and busted the front door open. Then, I ran upstairs and threw my bag on the ground. Did I really just meet another psychic?
