I'm fine. Is what I tell myself. I'm fine. Is what I try to believe. I'm fine. Is what I'm not. Yet I could never figure out why. Maybe it's because of my dad dying. Maybe it's because of my mom dying. Maybe it's because I have to move away, live with someone knew. Maybe it's because that day a piece of me died too. I don't know. But for now I'll tell myself...Im fine.
"Get the hell up nova" I could hear my cousin yelling at me through the door.
"Five more minutes" I yelled with my head stuffed under the pillow.
"Nope, get your ass up, I won't hesitate to drag you" Jace yelled.
"Fuck you" I yelled as I jumped out the bed and headed towards my bathroom.
It was the middle of the school year. I moved in with my aunt, uncle, and cousin when my parents died. I have no idea who anyone at the school was so jace was forced to me my mentor. Not that he had a problem with it. I take it back, he had a big problem with it. Jace was one year younger than me. I'm 17, about to be 18. Jace was a grade lower then me. I threw in some comfy clothes and was ready to head out. I grabbed my backpack and keys.
"Ready" I asked jace as I ran down the steps.
"I've been ready Olivia, it's you I was waiting on, your my ride" he rolled his eyes.
"Don't get an attitude, I will no longer be your ride" I told him as I opened the door.
It's raining. Shit.
"Oh come on!" Jace yelled through the loud drops of rain hitting the ground.
"On three, run to the car, ready? Three!" I yelled and took off towards the car. I'll I heard through the rain was jace yelling 'bitch' as I left him on the porch.
Sucker.

"We are soaking wet nov" jace said as we entered the school. So much for good first impressions.
"Yeah I know, just show me my classes and locker and you can go do whatever f-boy stuff you do" I waved him off.
"I don't do 'f-boy stuff' nov, I'm a gentleman" he rolled his eyes.
"Yeah sure you are" I scoffed. Jace took me to my locker and said that his was right next to mine. As me and jace were talking I saw one group of boys walking down the hall with their heads held high. They were all grouped together, you'd think they were some type of high-school gang from a movie or something. Not even going to lie, the boy that was walking in the front was fineeeeeeee. With his dark hair falling just above his eyes. Oh and those eyes. Mhm mhm mhm mhm mhmmmm. Those blue crystal eyes. I was snapped out of my gaze when jace pushed my shoulder. "Keep your head down nova" he turned towards the locker.
"Why?" I asked him. Jace was a big boy, he was a few inches taller than me, given that I'm older everyone always took that as a shock. But why would jace be scared of a group of boys? On the other end of the hall I saw another group walking just like the other one, except this group's 'leader' had a smirk on his face. The one in the front, the 'leader' had brown/ red-ish hair. You'd think he had full brown hair except in the light you could see little strands of red. He had a Roman like figure. His jaw was on point, let me tell ya. Ohhhhh mamma Mia. The two groups met in the middle of the hall. Right in front of me and jace. Like a high school musical, where everyone was about to stop and bust out Dance moves and sing together. They stood there glaring eachother down.
