*Qibli's pov*

First day at Jade Mountain Academy and I already feel nervous. Wonderful.

"it's ok, you got this!" I tell myself trying to calm my frayed nerves.

I give Thorn one last hug and walk along with the rest of my group, we pass the icewing group and my eyes fall on one of the most graceful dragons I've ever laid eyes on, He had pale blue scales that shimmered white under the light, his scales were also covered in darker blue freckles, and his eyes were such a dark shade of blue they almost looked black.

He. Was. Beautiful.

"omfg he's drop-dead gorgeous" one of my friends say in a teasing tone noticing that I was staring and probably drooling as well.

I hide my face with my hand and use the other to smack the shit out of my friend, he's laughing so hard you could probably hear it from the highest peak in the Sky Kingdom and I'm trying to muffle him, so we basically look like we're wrestling, my hand over his mouth and the other on my face, he's practically on his knees wheezing and it's not really helping the situation.

I'm trying not to laugh as well and I can't help but let a few giggles escape. I glance back over at the icewing group and most of them are either face-palming, rolling their eyes or whispering to each other, except for the one that caught my eye.

He's stifling a smile and is miserably failing at it as well, we make eye contact for two seconds and I promptly look away in a dead (gae) panic.

I make my way to the front of my group and I get our assigned winglets and clawmate lists, I pass them out and take a glance at mine.

*time yeet cause I have no clue WHEN THIS WAS F*CKING REQUESTED AND THE FACT THAT I'M JUST NOW, FINISHING IT.*

We're called to the main room to meet our Winglet, and I step into the room provided for my Winglet.

My eyes scan the room and I mentally note anything of interest- and then my eyes fall on the beautiful icewing from earlier.

I pause and stumble in mid-stride almost tripping and falling. I walk over to a corner and sit down "pretending" that I totally didn't almost trip.

I hear a quiet laugh to the left of me and come face to face with the icewing,

"oh uh hi!" I say, a bit flustered and surprised.

"hello, my name is Winter, I would love to know yours?" his voice is smooth and silky, highly suductive as well.

"uh, Q-Qibli.." I say while fidgeting with my talons.

"Qibli, " he echos "that's such a nice name isn't it?"

"uh I mean if you guess it is-" I respond only getting more flustered with each time he speaks.

"are you ok?" he asks noticing I'm getting overwhelmed since it's very loud, inside and outside the room we're in.

"n-not really but I can deal-" he cuts me off before I can finish, "nope." he sits in front of me and puts his hands over my ears.

I calm down almost instantly at the comfort and quiet, the voices both inside and outside my head are finally something close to silent.

I smile softly as he take his hands off my ears but instead leads me out of the room, out of the main room, and into an adjacent hallway.

We talk there and get to know each other, it's much quieter there and I don't get as overwhelmed as easily than earlier.

He smiles and says "odd and random question, but what is your sexuality?"

"uh, honestly, I have no clue? So I'll just say questioning," I say with a smile "how about you?" I ask.

"something between bi and pan, girls are cute but guys are hot, and vice versa." Winter replies, also smiling.

We're called back into the main room and after a speech we have freetime.

Me and Winter dart off to another corner to talk again and we continue the conversation that got cut off earlier.

"the reason I asked you that question was I wasn't sure if you'd like me back if I said that I liked you." Winter explained, quite calmly I might add.

"yeah I understand!"

"well I like you-" was all I heard before my brain made the windows crash sound (refer to above sound) and passed tf out.
