Just a few more meters. Come on, come on Nicole! I was scared that even one breath could ruin her result. YES!! Oh my God, she made it! She reached the green line!! Kacper Juroszek started waving his flag. My friend is a certified Olympic medallist! Just a few seconds later the results were there. SHE WON THE GOLD! But what a story, she ended up first ex aequo with Sara Takanashi, and Nika Prevc took the third place.

Just as she saw me in the family sector, she ran towards me and we hugged.

"I knew you can do it, Nicole! It was magical!"

I had to make a step back because then the legendary Adam Małysz appeared with a big bouquet of flowers.

"Congratulations Nicole. I am honoured that you represent our beautiful country and ski association. I would like to ask you to be our new signatured face. Moreover, I solemnly announce that women's ski jumping becomes the Polish national sport!"

After that, she accepted also the congratulations from her previous coach Łukasz Kruczek and his wife, handing Nicole a inspirational book full of quotes. I was waiting for my time to once again cheer with her, when Apollo Tajner lightly patted my shoulder.

"Dear Miss Ravenson, we are tremendously impressed with the results you achieved with Nicole. I also have heard you specialise in the mental preparation field, so I had a conversation with our Director Małysz and we would like to offer you a job in PZN. We would love you to be our specialist in terms of psychology, both men and women. Please, feel free to contact me."

He handed me his business card and left his private number. What an honour! I have to accept this offer.

After a while, Nicole had heard from me about my new job and she couldn't be happier. But for now, we will have our well-deserved rest in her beach house in Mielno.

So here I am now, with a new job, new best friend and far more opportunities than ever before. I always knew that friendship is magic.
