Emma Pov
Hi I'm Emma, I'm a cheerleader at Seabrook high school. You make cheer and you fit in but sometimes I feel like I don't. I'm the quiet kid, the quiet one who would sit in the back of the class and no one would know. You might find it weird how I'm a cheerleader and I'm quite. Well my cousin Bucky is cheer Captain and he says I have what it takes to be a cheerleader. Some people say when I have that uniform on I'm a totally different person. Which sometimes I feel like I am, when I'm not wearing my cheer uniform or not cheering, in free time during school you'll always find me in the library reading or working on homework.
Someone people say I look normal, i'm a perfectly normal teen well except for my hair. It's a wig, my real hair is white. I wear a brown hair wig to fit in. You might think my hair is cool but in Seabrook it's not. Doctor don't know why my hair is white, can't dye it, nothing stays and I tried everything. My sister Addison has the same color hair, she knows about mine. She took off her wig during the time zombies were trying to be accepted. She promised to keep my hair and secret and not tell anyone. I wish I had the same confidence she had to show her hair. I'm just scared that I'm gonna get bullied, I get called a freak a lot. Addison doesn't get bullied for her hair, everyone finds her perfect because we're the complete opposite. She's the peppy and happy person, she's never quiet like I am. Addison and me are very close, we acted like best friends. She understands me and how I feel. She finds a cool how we have the same color hair. Sometimes she thinks I'm her real sister and I'm not adopted. Yup I'm adopted!
When I was very young I was found by z patrol at the end of the forest where is Seabrook hits the entrance to the forest. Addison's parents took me in as their own when they noticed I had the same color hair as her daughter. They raised me like I was their own daughter but sometimes I feel like they favor Addison a little bit more.
But there's one thing different about me that no one has in Seabrook, I have a mark on my left upper arm. It's like a birthmark but no one else in Seabrook has a mark on their upper arm like I do. I really want to find out what it means and if anyone has one like it out there in the world. We tried everything to get rid of it, I even tried makeup but it goes right through. Technically in Seabrook it's classified is not normal but Addison finds it cool. It's almost like it's a mark that means some thing, for the way it looks it definitely means some thing. Doctors don't know what It means.
My sister is right now at cheer camp, I was supposed to go but these past couple of days I haven't been feeling the greatest so my parents thought it was best that I stay home. So I won't get anyone sick cause that would be bad.
I'm currently chilling in my room watching a movie. Today is the day Addison is coming home from cheer camp. She really excited to see me and Zed. Zed is her boyfriend, he also a zombie. Zed is asking her to prawn, prawn is prom but I'm Seabrook we call it prawn. He asked if i could help but since I wasn't feeling well my parents thought it would be best that I don't. I definitely know she will say yes, those two were like the perfect couple. I wish I had a boyfriend, no guys like me. The only friends I have are Addison my sister, her friend Bree, Zed, Eliza and Bonzo. Bree and Bonzo are in like and it's so cute. I probably never have a boyfriend, Who would wanna date a freak like me.
I was sitting in my room watching a movie when my parents come into my room.
"Hi" I ask confused
"Get dressed we're going to City Hall now" mom says, I rarely go to City Hall. My mom is the mayor of Seabrook so she goes there almost every day. She's a good mayor she cares for all of her people. Everyone adores her and loves her. She's been reelected so many times. And then my dad is the chief of Z patrol. So he's also very well known, he takes care of this town and make sure there's no danger. I get dressed and I head to my parents car where they are waiting for me. We drive to City Hall to find a panicking Addison.
"Omg thank god your ok" She says hugging me
"What happened? What's wrong" I ask her concerned
"We're not alone, we're surrounded by werewolves" she says. Everyone says they were just myths but I never believed it. Sometimes I walk in the forbidden forest sometimes. The forbidden forest is where they live, I walk there at nights or sometimes during the day. I feel so relaxed they're like I meant to be there. If anyone found out I went into the for bidden forest I would be in big trouble.
"Oh no" i say and she nods
"My dad everything is fine" Addison says to are parents. Our parents can sometimes be a little overdramatic and very overprotective. Me and Addison have curfews. If we're out past our curfew time were serious trouble. Addison and me sometimes stays out past curfew time, but it's mostly because of cheer and our parents are fine with that because they know how much we like cheerleading and they're also big fans of cheerleading. But when we don't have any cheerleading stuff going on or usually home two hours before our curfew time.
"Everything is not fine, there are werewolves circling us right now waiting to attack" our dad says and Bucky comes up
"Someone gotta do something about it" Bucky says
"And someone will, hold my purse" mom says getting Dad her purse before she walks up to the podium. She slams her mallet to get everyone's attention.
"By order of city council, effective immediately all anti-monster laws are reinstated" mom says and once she says that everyone starts cheering except the zombies and me and Addison.
"Mom that is unfair" me and Addison yell at the same time. Zed comes up to Addison and they talk. I go over to Zed dad and Zoe. Zoe is so cute, sometimes we act like we're siblings like I'm her older sister and she's my little sister. Zed dad finds it cute.
"Emma" Zoe says and hugs me
"Hey little princess" I say, I call her that all the time, she loves it! She giggles
"Wanna help me with something" she asks me
"Sure" I says and look at her dad
"I'm ok with that, just make sure she's in the house soon" Zed dad says and I nod. We leave City Hall and head to zombie town. She makes werewolf posters because she really wants a wolf friend. I help her hang them up. As we're hanging them up a guy comes up to us who works a Seabrook power. Seabrook power is the birthplace of zombies. A little lime soda mixed with a mysterious energy and bam zombies.
"Have you seen a werewolf? I'm looking for a were friend" Zoe says, I never seen this guy before he looks really cute. Omg I'm crushing, I never felt like this before but Addison has told me what it feels like.
"Silly kid, there's no such thing as werewolves" he says
"But we heard it howl, Emma sister even saw at howl" Zoe says and he looks at me
"Maybe it was a hiker saying howls it going" he says
"It was a werewolf! My what big eyes you have" Zoe says
"Ok Zoe it's time to go inside" i say and she runs inside, her dad waves to me to say thank you. I looked back at the guy and I noticed he's looking at my shoulder. My mark is showing, my sleeve must've rolled up and it did
"That cool" he says
"I'm The only one in Seabrook who has it. I wish I knew what it means and if anyone has one like me out there" I say
"You will one day" he says smiling
"What's your name" I ask him
"Wyatt, your Emma right" he asks
"Yes, and for your information my sister did see it howl. So don't try to trick a kid" I say with attitude. I didn't like how he tried to make Zoe think it wasn't a werewolf when she saw one with her own eyes. I hear Z patrol worker call my name.
"Ugh sometimes I hate how my dad is captain of Z patrol. I have to go I'll see you around" I say and I head to the patrol car that is taking me home. Before the car pulls away I looked back and I noticed he is gone and so is Zoe's picture. But omg he was so cute!! I hope I can see him again...
