Fairytale ( The Wattys 2022 )

A promise

"you promised " he said in an angry voice stomping his foot to the floor like a little kid and I just rolled my eyes changing the chanelle
"I said I will think about it and it's the first day of school who hosts a party in the first day " I said hoping he will be convinced and go to that party without me , I know I said I will try new things and have fun this year but not in the first day and not to forget I will wake up 6 am tomorrow
"It is the first day that's why there's this party it's like a welcoming party " he said throwing himself next to me on the couch , I side looked at him noticing the pout and sad eyes , I huffed annoyed and turned to him talking in a soft voice that I know he won't say no to
"You know I don't go to parties so I think it's better if I go to one like I don't know in weekend maybe at least I won't be worried about waking up in the morning or panicking about how it's a school day you know what I mean " I finished watching the way his eyes moved observing everything in my face
He sighed tiredly and I contained my need to dance as I knew I won the argument
"Fine we can stay here and have a movie night " I looked suprised at what he said
"Don't you want to go ? " I waited for him to get up and go to his house and get ready when he nodded
"I do but I want to go with you so if you're not going than I won't , I want us to do things together this year " he finished with a serious look that made me nervous but I just loughed easing the tention
"You look like you're saying goodbye " I watched the way his body stiffened just for a second before he loughed with me and took the remote to put a movie on
I didn't think much of it because if there is anything going on he will come up to me and tell me about it , we don't hide things from each other
Yeah except that thing
I looked at him wrapping himself in the blanket and it's like he felt my eyes on him he looked at me and smiled and I felt my heart stop for a second , he opened his arm mentioning for me to come closer and I would never turn that offer down , I would do anything to stay in his arms so I moved closer to him and he wrapped his arm around me making sure that I am covered and warmed and I smiled at the gesture , I can't remember  a time where my mother did this for me , I can't remember a time where mom was here before I slept sometimes I don't even think she comes home for a week or more
And I can't remember a time where I felt sad about it because I have Mathew and he was more than enough
He is more than enough
Maybe I will never have the courage to tell him that or that I katherine Plome am so in love with him because I just don't want to loose what we have , god I know I am a fool falling for the best friend the same old story that most girls suffer from but you can't control your heart and mine just decided that it belongs to Mathew Anderson
The boy next door
Did I think that maybe he loves me too , yes every night but I knew that was just me feeding myself false hopes because there is no way he loves me and I am sure about it , from making him jealous which didn't work to watching him fall in love with different girls every day
That's the job of the best friend , he tells me about the girls he likes and loves and whom he hook up with
Yay look how excited I am
Did I think I should tell him how I feel ? maybe
Will I do it ?  Don't think so
I prefer having him as a friend , cuddle with him hug him than not having him at all
Yeah I am dieing to hear those word from him but I guess I am not that lucky

"I love you " I froze with eyes wide open and didn't know what to do , did I spoke loud or did he read my thoughts , why the hell did he say those words
I slowly turned my head so I could look at him and he just smiled at me and hugged me tightly whispering "love you katy good night "
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and felt myself relaxe once I knew he was just saying good night
"Love you too Maty " and I let myself drift to sleep .

"Katy katy waky waky "
I felt fingers touching my noise and I made an annoyed voice opening my eyes slowly
I saw the most beautiful bleu color in front of me and it made me smile
"Good morning " I whispered softly brushing my hair out of my eyes
"Morning " he chuckled watching me scratch my muscles and pointed to the kitchen " c'mon I made breakfast go get ready and hurry up I am starving so I wouldn't wait " 
I chuckled running up the stairs to my room taking a quick shower and got dress in jeans and wide T-shirt , one of Mathew's
I took my bag and shoes and run to the kitchen knowing him , I am sure he didn't wait
"Is those pancakes " god I love his pancakeqs
He nodded smiling at my hungry feature but I didn't care and all I focused on was eating as much as I can
"Come on we gonna be lite " he threw his bag over his shoulder walking to the door while I took one last pancake and shoving it in my mouth than took my bag and run after him
We sang together to our favorite songs all the way to the school
